I think I am one of those who just does better with more carbs… I probably get at least 200 + grams on training days, sometimes more… and I’m a girl with prob half the body mass of most of the men on here.
Don’t be afaid of carbs: If you are lifting hard and heavy, your body will use them the way you want them to be used.

Haha I love it. It seems as though I’m one of the few who get over 400 grams/day here. Surprising, considering I’m one of the smallest.
I never understood why people seem to be so low-carb here. IMO, carbs can only help in the process of building muscle, and unless you’re cutting, I see no reason to limit them(unless you’re putting on WAY too much fat).
I try to take in over 400 grams/day. It seems like some people are more concerned with keeping fat at bay then gaining muscle.
That’s what I thought. But then again, maybe its just my body type. I’ve been stagnent with weight gain the last 3 weeks at 3750-4000 cal/training day and 3250-3500 on off days. I’m thinking 4500 cal might be in order. [/quote]
If you need around 4500+ calories to grow, then you probably should not be carb cycling IMHO. I think you should try taking in the same amount on your off days as on your training days and see if you start to gain.

This is what I do. The only difference between an on day and an off day, is my Surge
I recently started carb cycling and I think it’s going help me get me over my irrational fear of carbs. My training on my high carb days is incredible and my muscles feel fuller and more dense already.

Yeah, your probably right. I’m going to start keeping them up every day.
I simply cannot put on size and strength without carbs, it just ain’t happening without carbs. Sure I get leaner with an ultra low carb diet, but I sacrifice strength, endurance and size.
I guess it depends on what’s more important to you, I’m more of a functional kind of guy.
120g on off days and about 200g on training days. The cycling seems to work. Your body needs some carbs (sugar). No need to deprive it just choose the right ones. Low glycemic fruits work best for me. I have to go easy on the starches.
