I thought it would be interesting for everyone to share how much they are eating and their macronutrient proportions what with all the bulking discussions nowadays. Do include your height and weight too for comparisons.
I don’t count calories. I would say before my little stomach virus episode. On most days I was probably getting 4000 cals or more a day. I tend to eat pretty high carbs, and protein and moderate fat. I don’t do well with low carbs for strength gains.
When I recently did a little figuring, my bottom numbers (on the days I don’t add in things) were about 3600/3700 cals,… I figure on average I’ve been getting 4000 cals a day, over 300 prot, and over 250/300g carbs (with the whole Anaconda protocol figured in)
Just coming off of a fat loss phase, was following:
1500kcal or around a 40/40/20 pro/fat/carb split of whole foods
200kcal added whenever I did cardio
1000kcal added of primarily sugars and protein as peri-workout nutrition
So days varied between 2700kcal and 2000kcal for off days (As I bump up the food)
Getting on to maintenance for a while (+500/d) then increasing more (+700/d), can’t wait for food
And the odd carb reload was done, about 6000kcal of glory.
No where near enough. Luckily strength hasn’t decreased - and maybe even increased at least a little - but I just realised I am slowly losing weight. This sucks.
Height: 5’11"
Weight: 199.2 (weighed myself first thing this morning, boxers only, after I used the john)
Im at anywhere between 3000 and 4000 depending on whether Im training or not, and also how much my schedule permits me to eat. Breakdown is more or less 100g fat, 350g carbs, 300 g pro. Id love to be getting closer to 5000 calories a day because my weight gain has slowed, but Im still working out the kinks of my new schedule in terms of when I can get calories in.
