Good info. See, I’ve never done zerchers for a prolonged period (more than a month or so at a time) so I suppose it just took some initial hardening. The bars on ship actually had great knurling … so much to where it would dig in nice and deep every time it make contact with skin. Kind of wish we had more bars like that in Gold’s Gym.
Very solid work.
Do you vary the pin height? I feel like I get more out of them when I drop the pin below my knees so I can barely get under the bar. But I also go higher sometimes just to add more weight and add a little variety.

Thanks. I used to go one pin lower so that the bar was right around my knees. No surprise it feels a good bit easier from this height. I can also get myself into a much more upright position that uses more leg, which is a something for me to keep in mind because these don’t bother my currently injured back and they mimic a sumo deadlift to some extent. I’ve done 405x9 and 500x1 from the lower height…might be fun to see what type of territory I can push these into.

OP here. Three years after the fact. Still doing zerchers and not giving a fudge.
Excellent work.
Should I wear a crown next time? Lol…thx.
Like using your penis to mix cake ingredients together, there is probably some result to the zercher squat but it’s awkward for all involved and you risk some embarrassing injury.

Inb4 hospital on Guerrero Street.
Zerchers suck.
I honestly don’t mind the feeling at all. I kind of like it in a weird way actually.

Which feeling?
The pressure from the bar.
