does any prolonged increase in heart rate cause fat mobilization or burning or whatever (i.e do you start losing weight)?
If so, I do have a couple hours of complete boredom everday that i kill trying to find something interesting online… i might as well be elevating my heart rate watching a horror movie on tv… right now i dont watch any tv at all (plus watching tv is less damaging to my eyes and posture than sitting on the computer disk is).
so could it be worthwhile, to watch a daily horror movie instead of browsing the net? would an increase in heart rate cause fat loss, or is it more complicated than that?
i already go to the gym and have a 30 minute walk a day. any more walking would get a bit boring.
anyways i didnt ask what you guys thought i should do, i was just asking if it would work.
If you want to burn calories while having fun, play an electric guitar standing up. Apparently it burns more calories per hour than playing catch, and competes with walking too.
I don’t know about that, but playing guitar is more tiring than most other instruments because of gripping the neck, bending strings, etc.
Play guitar for 2 hours a day and you should burn around 500 calories. Not to mention you will become an awesome player if you stick to those 2 hours a day.
(this is not a serious way to lose fat, but then again, most guitar players are pretty damn skinny. draw your own conclusions)
it lists drums as more calorie burning than the guitar, which makes sense. ive stopped drumming two yrs ago and i really wanna get back into it… too bad i’m studyin in another country.
I don’t know, there could be something to this. After watching the Grudge, I was about 2 lbs. lighter, and my heart was beating pretty fast through it.
hahaha screw you. i was just asking if the increase in heart beat caused by something other than exercise , like a horror movie, could actually do something. scientifically speaking. i already workout harder than you could ever dream of, and i take a walk everyday. when my knee gets better i hope to get back to badminton and soccer. it’s not like i’m a lazy bastard hoping to lose weight by simply watching movies. i’ve already lost 10 kgs in 6 or 7 weeks of exercise together with the warrior diet.
