I´d say you are doing great and that no one should tell you what to aim for. If you wanna be 185 go for it. when you get there you´ll probably want to get bigger but that´s entirely up to you.
Pretty solid keep it up and go for 200, why stop? Given your physique though I’d say the squat and dead need to catch up. You look like you have way more than a 380 lbs dl in you.
Looking good!
yeah i agree 100% that my squat and dead need to go up a lot more. Making good progress in strength the last month or 2 following CT’s advice and peri workout nutrition. Bench is a pretty good lift for me since i have short arms but i dont consider my max to be too great until its twice my body weight. Theres a few powerlifters in my gym who put my lifts to shame those are the guys i consider strong. I think i have pretty good strength for my weight though but should get a lot better if i can add 10-20 pounds. Thanks for the feedback everyone i appreciate it. Might try to get a few better pics up

yeah i dont know why i said that and thats definitely not my attitute when training. i guess i just meant that i dont really mind if i dont get super heavy but it looks like i should aim for 190-195 which would be a solid amount of muscle for my frame. Better get eating! good timing for thanksgiving[/quote]
hell yea on thanksgiving haha. but in all honesty getting “too heavy” without fully intending on getting to what would be “too heavy” is a fallacy. pics look good though bro. squat looks a little low and legs show it but it sounds like you know. traps could always be bigger too. good luck on getting to a lean 195.
man my legs are weak compared to the upper body…my legs actually grow best on leg presses which i haven’t done for a while but i definitely hit them hard. Gotta work even harder though i’ll get them up
I wouldnt worry too much about your bench right now. Thats a pretty awesome lift for your body weight. From what I’ve seen in myself and others the ratio is about 80ish lbs between bench squat dead. So based on your 290 bench, your other two lifts should be around 370 and 470. Ex I’m 185 inch or 2 taller and my lifts are 235-350-435, so my bench is weak proportionally. Obviously everyone’s different but thats a pretty standard ratio.
Your conditioning is pretty impressive too.
wow you guys are harsh in here (never been in this forum before). At first I was thinking he’d get like an 8, but I guess he’s not HYUOOOOOOOGE enough for you? A little more pec and quads needed (who doesn’t) but I’ll give you that 8 bro. Keep up the great work.
You’ve got a very solid foundation being built here. Sure, I’ll echo the opinion that 185 at 5’10 is still gonna look pretty lanky (think lacrosse player, not bodybuilder). Overall though, nothing is really weak. You may focus on areas that you would prefer to improve, but I’m certain that just continuing to add size will remedy a lot of your concerns.

you look bigger and better in the last few photos- excellent definition in your back! You should be able to put on some more mass and keep the same proportions. Great job overall!
Paul
thanks guys really apppreciate your comments! Stu you’re like a celebrity on here now since you were involved with IBB and such and you’re definitely an influence for me i’d like to get where you’re at! Must be nice to be able to chat with CT
Do you know your bodyfat?
I gave you a 7 as I think (hard to say without physically seeing you face to face) that you possess some decent genetics… Plus I’d only give you a 9 if you were 200+ shredded and had the bulk to back you up (meaning ready to start competing).
I’d like to see you aim for 225, for your initial goal of 10lbs you won’t notice… Hit 225 and cut down to 205 and you’d be insane.
I’d try for a full body shot - Side Tricep or side chest would help if you wanted a better critique, but from what I see, I think your upper-chest is lacking. I’m a huge fan of the stuff put out by Clay Hyght and he put out an article that (if I were you), would put into action tomorrow - Building a Bodybuilder Chest (see: Strength Training, Bodybuilding & Online Supplement Store - T NATION) and pay attention to the section on upper/middle chest as that’s what you need for your chest to pop.
Legs? Can’t really tell in the photo submitted, they just look defined/cut. You’re pulling/pushing big numbers, so keep it up and it’ll pay off. I couldn’t see your ham’s at all, so I can’t say if you need to focus on stiff deads/curls, or if you need to focus on quads with front squats. Again, a Side Chest pose would nail this down on what needs work…
I’d also focus on delts a bit more. You’ve got a small waist from what I see, so adding width to your delts will make you look bigger than ever…
Overall, you’re rocking…
If the lats were a bit bigger, you’d look seriously mean from the back!
Good work on getting to that point, just keep training and if you end up at 200, you end up at 200. If you’re doing it cause you enjoy it, you’re really limiting your enjoyment by setting ceilings on your weight. You could probably get up to 185 by increasing leg size!
your very lean. keep putting on size. when you get to 195 you’ll know why the other poster said 225, beause you won’t feel that big. 225 is a good weight for you, and your lucky enough that losing bodyfat will never be a problem so don’t worry about that.
Your lifts and look kick my ass. So, since I don’t want to give myself a 3, I’ll give you an 7.
Solid start man. I think you just need to focus a bit more on leg training overall that will probably add 10 lbs on you when you start beefing up your hams/glutes and quads. Arms look solid as does back and delts. Maybe hit the inclines harder bring out the upper pecs a little bit. Very lean too, don’t be afraid to smooth out a bit if you wanna gain some more size as you can easily diet it off in a few months time.
