5:20 was brutal. He had to fishtail-tap.

Great vid. I loves me some judo!

Gets me fired up for judo class at noon. Today is newaza day too

those armbars and stuff like that in the competitions…do the competitors routinely get broken/fractured bones or pulled tendons from that? Some of them look damn painful!

I got armbarred like that twice in my last tournament. They aren’t fun, I’ll tell you what. My elbow was a wreck for over a month.

Arm bars are quite painful, I’ve had some elbow and shoulder pain a few times.
More often I have been Banged up from what we call Big Wheels- big throws gone bad.
Dislocated shoulder- broken clavicle, busted rib or two and a few couple speed bumps on my head.

His opponent made him his bitch, how humiliating.

yeah when I was 16 I got my arm fractured from a standing type armbar over the shoulder if you can picture it.

When you compete in jiu jitsu or judo etc. do the competitors really crank that arm as if they’ll do anything to win or do competitors know kinda when to put brakes on…I"m just wondering if they give a fuck or not lol.

I’m surprised people don’t get their arm broken each time they are in an arm bar.
