High Estradiol Levels & Fat Storage

I am a male with high estradiol levels (the estrogen produced by aromatizing testosterone). As a result, I carry almost all of my fat on my hips and ass, while having almost a six-pack. Pretty ugly. I would like to lose the butt fat in the long term.

Do you have any suggestions (nutrition, supplements, specific exercise plan), which will help me burn the fat from those areas or more specifically suppress the production of estrogen?

Sounds like you may want to take a visit to your doctor.

This is generally a complex area, but a visit to a doctor who deals with this might be in order.

For example, if you produced a lot of test, and then aromatized it, you could end up with a fair amount of estrogen, while not appearing to have high test levels.

Anyway, there are both estrogen blockers and aromatase blockers, so you may be able to combat this type of thing naturally somewhat.

Get some anastrozole, take 1mg per week and increase by what weight you have above 160 pounds. Test E2 after one month and do changes to dose as the results suggest. Aim for E2=17-20.

If T levels are low, adjusting E2 alone may be helpful, but perhaps not enough.

I went to the doctors but I cannot find a good specialist here in my area (I am not in the US at the moment). Also, I do not have other health issues besides the fat ass - everything else seems normal, therefore the doctors I went to are very hesitant to try to treat me for it (and also they have not treated many cases like that). I am hesitant to take anything not prescribed as of now, although anastrozole might be available without prescription.

Thank you for the suggestions but as of right now I was considering a diet or increase of certain microelements than a pill. Thank you again!

Shameless bump - first and only.

You may want to try DIM. I have a similar problem. I just ordered some a few days ago so I have yet to try it. It is a nutrient found in cruciferous vegetables.

That is a page I found from google with the terms dim and estradiol highlighted. You can look into it more.

That is where I ordered mine cheap (swanson’s with biodim) and it is the patented formula for better absorbtion. I do hear that it is actually very effective so you may want to be careful with the dosing. I’m going to start with 100mg every other day and then see where it goes from there. Some use 200mg daily or more. Either way I figure a nutrient from vegetables is a better way to go than drugs for the time being.

Another thing, make sure you get enough Zinc. A ZMA formula at night plus another 50mg of Zinc Citrate or a highly absorbable form of Zinc in the morning should help. Most athletes and people in general are zinc deficient. It would take a little while to correct a zinc deficiency as well so even if one takes just a multi vitamin or ZMA it might not be enough.

Please try Biotest’s REZ-V before you try anything else.

This is exactly why we developed it.

Seconded.

Sometimes “what you do” and “how you think” affect your hormone levels…

Some of us say, once you start running the fat will start to drop off.

Since you prefer naturals (I do too) look up Epilobium for an aromitase inhibitor. I went to BCN, and use 5 drops 2Xday to get the levels down.

Could you provide the link to where you bought the Epilobium?

Thanks.

I guess you haven’t heard about the Metabolic Diet. Many guys and gals on this site use it. I do too. In two months, I lost 2-1/2 inches off my waist, and didn’t measure this week but my pants are looser yet. I have also been building mass while using the diet so I ignore the scale and measure instead. The last time I did weigh I had lost ten pounds of fat. I don’t understand why a doctor hasn’t helped you out knowing a problem exists.

I forgot where you were (no doctor)also try Ag-Guys and look at Liquid-Dex. It’s not natural, but it will drop your numbers. You DO NOT want to get below 20ng/mL of Estrogen or you will compromise your heart. Self-medicating is really tricky.

Rexer666, I have the same prolem - too much fat on my ass and even thought my bodyfat %age is quite high, even when I’ve cut to 10-12% I’ve still had a fairly fat ass, so could you keep us updated as to how it goes?

I have heard of the Metabolic diet but never tried it. I am about 210 lbs and I do not think that I need to cut yet (bare with me for a sec) because most of my muscles are around my legs (I guess this is part of the benefit with high estradiol levels - much stronger lower body compared to upper body).

Threfore, I have never been on a real cutting diet. Either way, is there a link to the Metabolic diet or any information you wouldn’t mind sharing?

The doctors did not help me because, although edocrinologist, the medical system in the country does not bring them any money from other hormones besides insulin. Therefore, they are primarily interested in diabetes and everything else is kind of forgotten and left in the dusty books.

wannabeBIG - I think that actually a lot of males have that problem. I get pretty mad when I see the new summer articles - “Get a six pack”, “Shred fat off your belly” and such. I know that you lose fat all over your body but I have had some kind of abs for the past 10 year - I am looking for a tight ass (my own, although a female’s would be nice too)and I would love to read an article somewhere, which addresses that topic.

I understand your situation. So…Are you gonna’ try out the REZ-V or not? Have you read TC’s write up on it?. Personally, I’m trying out my first bottle now and will be having my BF% checked every 2-3 weeks in conjunction with cardio/weights. I’ll soon see if it works for me

I’m pretty sure I’ve got the same problem–I have everything from nutrition to training dialed in and I’ve gotten much bigger and leaner in the past few months but the pec/hip/lower back fat just won’t go. I just ordered 2 bottles of REZ-V and I would suggest you do the same. It is safe and has a ton of other benefits and it comes from Biotest so you know it’s good.

I think I will stick to Rez-V and see how it works for me. I think that rather than checking your bodyfat, you should check your estradiol levels in order to judge how effective Rez-V is for you.
