Yeah, I was kinda wondering about that also, maybe he now only absorbs the power for so long? who knows

Well, he’s always had a bad habit of not remembering the powers he has access to. You think about all the situations he’s been in over the past few seasons where you’ve been like, “Why doesn’t he just stop time here?” or, “Is there a reason why he’s not using his telekinesis?”
Sylar suffers from this too, but not as much.
He touched Suresh’s hand, got super-strong. Beat up the guards.
Touched Frigid Bitch’s hand, hit a guard, hurt his own hand.
He’s only got other’s powers one at a time.
Neat way to de-power a guy who could be the most powerful guy in the series.
I see it evolving to Arthur’s level; jacking and maintaining.
Volume Four: Fugitives
A Clear and Present Danger
Spoilers
Damn! If you stopped watching last season I think this season may be a reason to pick it back up! I realize it’s very X-men’ish but I still enjoyed it.
I didn’t see HRG turning over Mohinder to the government. Claire going ot the cockpit and seeing her “dad” was priceless though.
On one hand I’m dissapointed that Sylar is still alive but on the other I like where they had taken him as a character. Not thrilled on when they turned him back into a pyscho killer though.
Peter’s powers seemed to have changed in that now he needs physical contact to absorb powers and it’s only one power at a time?
On NBC.com and Hulu.com, a MUCH better episode that what has been going on.
If Peter can just have 1 power at a time, which after thinking about itI agree with Vash is what happened, Sylar is far far far and away the strongest dude with no one being able to come close to stop him. I’m not sure I like this lack of balance of power.
They gotta be running from Sylar since he still wants powers and from the government?
Also how did Peter get his ability to do stuff back and why has Hiro not got his power back since Authur took them both? I may just be forgetting since it has been awhile since the last episode but I’m having trouble filling those gaps.
I’m thinking this set of episodes ends with Sylar saving the day, seems to follow the pattern of him changing sides over and over again.

Peter used the formula on himself.
Peter injected himself with the “formula” in the last episode of the last season while Hiro hadn’t. It had nothing to do with Arthur dieing. As far as Peter only absorbing only one power at a time … that’s fuckin weak-sauce if that’s what is happening. I don’t know … I used to be really into this show, but it gets pretty lame from time to time with some of the holes in the plot and what-not.
Plus some of the dialogue is pop-corn … Plus the more I pay attention I think Hayden Penettiere is a horrible actress. And I think Allie Larter is one of the worst fuckin actesses on any show. Also, Peter plays a horrible “tough guy” …
I have to laugh at myself here tho … here I am pickin apart the show and I can’t wait to watch the next episode … fuck me blind

Who cares they’re hot
Man, Sylar has got to be my favorite character.
Due to the presidental news conference, my DVR only got like 58 minutes of the episode -_-.
What happened after Nathan got off the phone with his mother?

Not much. Just Nathan basically going into the room where Tracy was being held.
I can’t remember, was Claire getting texted before or after Nathan got off the phone?
Kind of a blah episode. In episodes like this, Sylar is the only thing that keeps me interested.
These “Heroes” don’t think things through much, do they? I mean, other than Claire or Ando, they’re all more powerful than they ever let themselves be. This needs to pick up or I will be very disappointed with what could have been a promising storyline.

I agree. Other than the Sylar scenes, I thought the episode was a bore. The only other thing I thought was interesting was when Parkman took over the mind of that one soldier and had him shoot the others. At the same time though I’m wondering why he hasn’t bothered doing stuff like that in the past. Like you said, all of these guys seems to have a lot more power than they ever actually try to use. It’s a shame.
I can’t imagine having a power like that and then always limiting myself with what I can do with it.
I’m glad they de-powered Peter. He was getting boring as hell. Now maybe they can kill him off. That guy might be the worst actor I’ve ever seen. Nathan may be a punk, but at least he’s watchable.
Sylar has again become the only reason to watch this show. I couldn’t be happier that he’s back to being all evil, all the time. These shades of gray don’t suit him.
All the heroes could stand to get their hands a little dirtier. The coolest scene in the last 3 volumes was when Parkman killed those soldiers.
This episode kinda got me reinterested. The kid is Sylar’s brother, gotta be. Sylar in general is becoming far and away the most interesting character.
Who the hell is rebel, Nathan or HRG possibly? I think its also possible it is the hunter to fuck up Claire’s life after he lost his men.
What is the deal with Nathan and HRG and why the hell are they so weird and secretive about their “agreements”? Kinda glad the next episode is mainly about him.
Seems like shit is actually going to happen at some point, albeit the Ando and Hiro side journey was awful.
Yeah, it was definitely a better episode than last week’s. At least this one felt like it was building towards something.
As for who ‘Rebel’ is, I think it’s either a group of people or someone we haven’t seen in a while. Someone like the Haitian.
As usual, Sylar’s story is the best. (And he gets the best lines, even when they’re cheesy. “OK, technically I’m a serial killer.”)
The rest wasn’t bad this week, except Hiro and Ando. What the hell was that all about? I guess the Heroes can never just be all together and work as a team.
Speaking of being together, where the hell is Molly? Did Parkman just leave her home alone all this time? What a deadbeat.
I suspect that Rebel is actually Micah. They flashed his photo in the file Nathan showed to the president last season, so they’re probably going to bring him back.
This thought makes me mad because I thought the kid was really annoying. However, his ability would allow him to hack into Nathan’s/HRG’s computers and see who they are targeting next. It also would allow him to text anybody through their cell without knowing their number.

I completely forgot about him, very much a possibility. So many random people fall in and out of the spotlight with sick abilities.

Same here. I had forgotten about him completely, but Micah does make a lot of sense. However, as a kid, I don’t see Micah having the initiative to be THE Rebel, unless he’s working with the group.
