About 2 years ago I weighed in at 282 (maybe even more). Today I am just 165.
Yeah Yeah I know this is a body building place… But bare with me.
I fell in love with Kickboxing, I kept going with it, I was never a gym junky but now I can’t get enough…
I am eating more now then I have ever before I am currently prepairing for my 2nd Amature tournament. 3 Fights 3 Minutes 3 rounds. I am more then capable of this problem is my appetite I get so hungry even eating 2500+ calories that I want to gouge my eyes out, I go crazy… The tournament is at 70 kilos which I have to loose about 10 pounds for, which is no big deal. I was bulking so I can gain more muscle mass to get rid of the last of the unsightly fat.
How to suppress appetite, anything I can do to stop my stomach from grumbling… I crave carbs like mad. Help…
Here is some pics of before and after. I am a bit leaner now but heavier in my latest pics. I did a bit of lifting to get bigger and to get rid of fat.
Its work in progress. I know my pictures aren’t great but at least I don’t look like that walrus anymore.
I do eat fair bit of vegies like brocoli, carrots, and salads. Korean Diet is very high on the vegies the thing is that I am still hungry. Only time I don’t feel hungry is when I have a big cup of coffee before I eat or after my workout.
Hey man, and congrats on the weight loss in the first place.
Like LilGuy notes, 2500kcal is not a lot, and if you work out a lot there’s no wonder youre gonna feel hungry. I say, eat more dude, eat more. Tho you did mention you need to loose about 5kg to hit 70.
Have you tried taking a tablespoon of oliveoil, fish oil or other healthy fats in between meals?
I got two weeks to loose 5 kilos its no biggy. I have learned how to manipulate my body to the extremes. I lost 8 kilos in 4 days via Velocity Diet, for my last fight… I am a lot smaller this time around. I do have to watch what I eat otherwise I got to really bust my butt in the last week.
Yeah I take suppliments like fish oil in the morning and at lunch.
Loosing weight that fast is not healthy, mainly because there’s no way in hell you’ll be able to lose 5kg in 14 days in a preferable manner.
If you lose more that 1kg (max) a week, you’ll loose a lot of muscle as well, which is not what you want.
Or… you could dehydrate yourself (lose water) before the weigh-in, which you’ll gain back almost instantly the second you start eating/drinking normal again.
Not to mention the strain this puts on your system.
Yeah thats what I did last time… It works but its hard on the body. I had much larger muscle mass then my oponents. The weigh in was night before so I had whole night to rehydrate.
Congrats on the weight loss! That is a huge and life-altering difference you made, and you should be proud of it!
If you currently eat a lot of carbs, simply cutting all carbs and dairy products will drop the 5 kg (11 lb) in two weeks. Most of it will be muscle glycogen, just bring some Surge to the fight. The last person I trained like this was a carb addict, and dropped 3 lb in a single day with no cardio.
First and foremost, 2500 calories is not much at all, so don’t be afraid to eat a little more. Aside from that, I don’t have much to add on top anyone else. Drink more water (try protein shakes too), eat more veggies, thats about it.
I guess there is really no way around it then. I have a pretty organized and complete diet. I guess I will just be a little hungry. Willpower will have to suffice… Thanks guys.
Look, you need to eat more fillers like vegetables and fiber. They will make you feel full so you don’t eat that whole hawaiin lovers pizza by yourself (guilty as charged!). I like to stick with beet salads, broccolini, spaghetti squash, and salad greens. Not only can they be delicious they also make good tracer foods.
Yeah I eat fair bit of vegies. Korean diet is full of the stuff. I did realize that I do work out a LOT. I make a concoction made out of husk fiber, egg whites and protein powder and I bake it into a form of a cookie.
