Help! The Spare Tire

I am almost 50. Started working out 2 years ago and I am very surprise at the good results! I have never looked this good! But here is my problem: Even though I have a 31 inch waiste, I have a very definite roll of fat around my waiste and lower back. I am actually pretty slim. The more abdominal work the more distinct the roll of fat looks. Is there hope at my age?

Well, you can’t spot reduce, so no amount of exercises will get rid of the gut, only work the muscle underneath it. I’ve seen a lot of guys get way too damned skinny by trying to get rid of that last bit of fat around the gut. Just watch your diet (lower carbs) and do your ab work. Build overall body muscle to boost the metabolism. Try some T2-Pro and MD6, and maybe “M” because excess estrogen may lead to more uneven fat distribution. Good luck. Yes, there is hope at your age, but it is hard to tell you how to make changes unless I know some details about what your training, diet, supplementation, etc. has been recently. Yes there is! Abdominal work will not reduce the fat around your middle. Only diet changes will do that, plus sufficient cardio to burn the calories that put on that fat. Once you lose the fat, you will be able to see the wonderful abs you have been working to achieve. They’re in there; they’re just hiding for now! Search through this site for an appropriate diet, stick to it, add some cardio (if you haven’t been doing any), and keep lifting–watch those handles disappear! It is harder because you are older, but it is possible. Just takes a lot of determination.

Try Yohimburn, I think you’ll like the results. Also a good anti-estrogen would do you wonders I bet. I would think M would be perfect, the pharmacuetical types are too strong for most situations.

If you’re like me you might not ever get rid of that spare tire. I got my waist and stomach measurements down to 31 and 31 1/2 and still had a little lovehandles. Not trying to discourage you but it might be something you have to live with. I lost a lot of muscle trying to lose that spare tire.
