Help, the Growth Has Stopped

Ok so i’ve been training for about a year and i saw alot of growth in the first 9 months, but since then i’ve plateaued and haven’t grown. I heard a strength program will help me out, but does anyone have other suggestions?

Have you changed your program during or after the 9 months?
Have you changed your eating habits?
Have you only been training for 9 months in total in your life?

Looks like your noobie gains are gone.
It’s either training intensity, sleep or diet.
Tell us about these things. Good luck

I went through the same exact situation last year. I was a HIT follower, so to me, that’s all that would work. Well it stopped working. Stupid me, I didn’t change.

Your body needs to do something different. I never really bought into that theory until this year. If you’ve been doing mainly hypertrophy/bodybuilding type routines, then yes, a strength routine will do you go. Just because strength is in the sentence does not mean you will not gain size.

I just finished 8 weeks of Rippetoe’s Starting Strength. There are a handful of other fine programs. Go to the end of my log in the Beginners section to see my results. I gained muscle and lost some chub. What else would you want?
