Help Me Pare Down 'Push' Workout

Thanks for the responses. So far, except for the push press issue, the L/P/P is working fantastically. Numbers are going up, and I feel great. I like the fact that I’m repeating every four days, it seems to work well for me. I agree, though, that 8 x 3 should only be used once per workout, and obviously at the beginning of the workout.

They work great, but they definitely drain me. The 6 x 6 incline DB press also seems to be working well. I’m gaining strength and definitely feel like my body responds well to it, though it is too soon to tell whether or not I’m growing (as I’ve only been doing this routine for a few weeks).

I think I might just pull the push press out for now, and do it instead of the bench once every couple of weeks to maintain strength. Once my bench (which is lagging, but making good progress on 8 x 3) is where I want it to be I may just rotate between the two of them. I want to be strong enough, but not a powerlifter. If I can get my bench up to 250 or so (8 x 3) to be honest, I’ll be happy. I don’t want to get it higher than that anyway.
