Yes, if that is your goal it is obtainable with some work as is any goal with enough time and work invested.
[qoute]Ok, first of all this is my first time to ever post on this website. Alright, now the questions come in. I need someone to help me out with some kind of answers
Welcome to the forum. It will be an endless supply of knowledge to you and your have happened upon it at a great point in your life. We will all do what we can to help you and make you feel welcome but you have to do your part as well. Namely educate yourself through reading EVERYTHING you can find obtained in the archives. Then taking that new learned knowledge and putting it into practice.
Ok, first of all I am 17 years old, and i weigh 178, however, Im only about 5’10". My BMI is probably around 20% maybe. I am not at all ripped up. I do have some cuts, but they are only slightly justified. But anyways to the questions.
- How can I lose weight the best and fastest way?
At that height and weight I would not worry SO much about losing weight per say but losing BF. You might even gain a few lbs of scale weigth but lose size by replacing the flub with muscle.
Six months gives you plenty of time to do so. You can concentrate now on njust cleaning your diet up and using a well rounded program like any and all found on this site.
Then when you are a few months out from the trip, if you are not as lean as you feel you should be THEN concentrate on losing a few lbs and keeping your newly gained muscle.
#1 above all will be getting your diet squared away. This is the single largest factor to any and all goals, bulking cutting, or maintaining.
here are just a few links to some great articles on diet. Pay particular attention to the & habits. That is a great starting place and then go from there.
Read up on these, as well as anything eles by LL (Lonnie Lowery) and JB (John Berardi) and come on back with some more specific ?'s and an understanding that EVERY aspect of your nutrition and training will be individaul to YOU. In other words what works Great for me or another may down right BLOW for you.

Also do a search for nthe Protein Roundtables as well.
After that a good multi vitamin, and Great source of supplemental protein like Grow!, and if you feel like it throw in some regular ole CHEAP, no bells and whistles creatine.
One that you will do on a consistant basis.
Seriously. Find one that you enjoy and will do to completion and go for it.
I would suggest sticking to something basic to start that revolves sole around the big money making compound movements. Learn these and perfect your form and progress. Check out the “Dog School” series, " Big Boy Basics" and maybe even take a gander at “TBT” by CW.
Beyond that just look into and read anything by any and all the coaches that contribute. They all have joined together here to create a library of training knowledge that is beyond belief. Find a program that interest you and come back with direct questions.
To a point yes.l Answered above. But dont expect to turn into a genetic miracle overnight it just DOES NOT HAPPEN. Concentrate on comparing your progress to yourself, and how far YOU have come. Not on the progress others have made. They may have been at this a lot longer. Takes time, you gotta put in your dues.
