Can I look like this guy in this picture?

Ok, first of all this is my first time to ever post on this website. Alright, now the questions come in. I need someone to help me out with some kind of answers

Ok, first of all I am 17 years old, and i weigh 178, however, Im only about 5’10". My BMI is probably around 20% maybe. I am not at all ripped up. I do have some cuts, but they are only slightly justified. But anyways to the questions.

  1. How can I lose weight the best and fastest way?

  2. What kind of supplements do I need to take, if any, for bulking?

  3. What kind of workout plan do I need to do to lose weight as well as to gain strength?

  4. Do I have enough time to get big and ripped before my senior trip in June?

Thanks again guys

Yes, if that is your goal it is obtainable with some work as is any goal with enough time and work invested.

At that height and weight I would not worry SO much about losing weight per say but losing BF. You might even gain a few lbs of scale weigth but lose size by replacing the flub with muscle.

Six months gives you plenty of time to do so. You can concentrate now on njust cleaning your diet up and using a well rounded program like any and all found on this site.

Then when you are a few months out from the trip, if you are not as lean as you feel you should be THEN concentrate on losing a few lbs and keeping your newly gained muscle.

#1 above all will be getting your diet squared away. This is the single largest factor to any and all goals, bulking cutting, or maintaining.

here are just a few links to some great articles on diet. Pay particular attention to the & habits. That is a great starting place and then go from there.

Read up on these, as well as anything eles by LL (Lonnie Lowery) and JB (John Berardi) and come on back with some more specific ?'s and an understanding that EVERY aspect of your nutrition and training will be individaul to YOU. In other words what works Great for me or another may down right BLOW for you.

Also do a search for nthe Protein Roundtables as well.

After that a good multi vitamin, and Great source of supplemental protein like Grow!, and if you feel like it throw in some regular ole CHEAP, no bells and whistles creatine.

One that you will do on a consistant basis.

Seriously. Find one that you enjoy and will do to completion and go for it.

I would suggest sticking to something basic to start that revolves sole around the big money making compound movements. Learn these and perfect your form and progress. Check out the “Dog School” series, " Big Boy Basics" and maybe even take a gander at “TBT” by CW.

Beyond that just look into and read anything by any and all the coaches that contribute. They all have joined together here to create a library of training knowledge that is beyond belief. Find a program that interest you and come back with direct questions.

To a point yes.l Answered above. But dont expect to turn into a genetic miracle overnight it just DOES NOT HAPPEN. Concentrate on comparing your progress to yourself, and how far YOU have come. Not on the progress others have made. They may have been at this a lot longer. Takes time, you gotta put in your dues.

No. prob. Once again welcome to the site and I hope some of this stuff I spilled out helps a bit. No go read up, dont get overwhelmed, take it one step at a time, have fun for gods sake, and start your transition to the goals you set out for yourself.

We’ll be here to help outb where we can so come on back,

Phill

Great advice Phil. I would also add something else. It sounds as if this is all to get buffed for a senior trip. IMO, you will get better results and have an easier time staying committed if you tweak your attitude a bit.

Decide to make this a lifelong change by developing better habits - eating right, consistently working out, etc. There’s nothing wrong with have short-term goals in the interim. But if you decide now that this is not just a transitory plan, but a long-term committment, you will have more success in making the necessary changes.

Thanks guys for all of your help, and I will read up on the dieting and nutrition that is best for me, and in a few weeks, I will post what decisions that I have made. I will post how I am doing time to time. Thanks again for all of your help, and I will keep ya’ll updated.

Thanks again,

jt

look at how much weight i’ve lost in 4 years LoL

Well, it has been a couple of months. I have found out that it is more important to bulk now, than lose now for the senior trip. There is one thing that I noticed about that picture of that guy with the abs…he is really skinny…his abs are little, and his forearms and pecs are tiny. I dont wanna be like this guy. I want to bulk then cut, and be big, unlike him. I have changed my mind, and now i am on a split excercise. My thanks goes out to T-Nation.com for all of their articles that I needed to read before making a big mistake. Once again thanks, oh and by the way. I have gained 10 lbs. of lean muscle thanks to my diet. Thanks again

jt

Dude, you came on here wanting to improve your body, got good advice and actually listened, then went and put in the hard work. That’s a rarity!
Nice work!

yea no joke. nice work man. you make us proud.

aiight guys, back to the forums…I am thinking about taking some of this stuff on t=T-Nation. The problem is that I dont know what to take. I have read up on Methoxy-7 and I plan on taking that concurrently with HOT-ROX when I am cutting; however, since I am only 18, do ya’ll recommend that I not take a t-booster such as RED KAT or something like that, because I have read and fully understand that I am not finished growing, and I am afraid that if I take a t-booster, it will screw with me. Would I get better results off of a product such as M, or do I need to stick with my diet and continue to drink a crazy load of protein shakes… btw. I’m 18 5’10" and 182lbs…thanks again guys

bump

listen to phil he knows his shit!

i owuldnt take a testosterone booster at your age yet. That will @#$% up your testosterone level and then give yah estrogen. no one wants &^%$# tits. i would stick with some Grow!. havent taken it yet. but everyone seems to like it here. plus its got some good stuff in it.

you could also take some creatine if you want the best i would sugjest taking trac made by MHP. i have taken alot of creatine and thats the best i have ever taken.

also patience youll get the results you want

a t-booster probably won’t screw you up, but it’s most likely not worth it since it probably won’t do anything considering your hormone levels now, unless you have reason to suspect they may be low. M also boosts T but has anti-estrogen effects as well. You could give it a try, but you may just want to save your money for food.

182lb for 5’10" is fairly light, are you sure you need to cut?

Methoxy-7 is a good product but it probably won’t be useful for cutting if you’re going to be using HOT-ROX concurrently. I’d save Methoxy-7 for bulking. You also may want to try Carbolin 19, check the info out and then read this thread:
