Snatch stability comes with practice and flexibility.

The comp will start around 11am or so.

The shoes will help you out a lot in stability.

Thanks, I am definitely coming along tomorrow, hope I don’t get too lost haha! Looks pretty simple on the map :stuck_out_tongue:

Just got my shoes today! Can’t wait to hit up the gym a bit later!

I bought these shoes:

http://www.pullum-sports.co.uk/clothing-and-shoes/shoes/do-win-weightlifting-shoes/prod_534.html

Only £65 which I think is pretty cheap. They feel great and look pretty solid, haven’t lifted with them yet but they feel very stable. Although they are my first pair of lifting shoes so I don’t really have any experience in the area! :stuck_out_tongue:

was a judge in this comp werent u koing?

Dude, how many oriental lifters have you seen in WOKING that you know was going to ref at the comp?!

I’ll be down on most Thursdays and every Saturday unless otherwise stated.

You can come down but after your first session you’ll have to sign up to the club as the coach doesn’t like freeloaders :stuck_out_tongue: Everyone pays their fee to compete or to train which helps the upkeep of the equipment. £35 if you do 2 comps a year/help out at them or £80 if you don’t compete/ help at 2 comps.

I have experience with the Nike and AdiStars and recommend them. The ironworks a few guys have and they like them. A few guys have the dowins and they like those. I think the difference is very marginal at best imo.

Nike’s are wider and more comfy imo but heavy, the heel ‘looks’ high but isn’t
Adistars are comfy but more narrow, lighter

I don’t think it makes that much difference at the end of the day.

A mate has the red do wins. He likes them.

Aight!

gimme some notice though the drive is about an hour for me

deep squat and the ox man rocked over on Saturday where I put them from ‘Weightlifting from the Big Book of Hamil 101’

the ox man up 7kg on his previous PB, probably at least 10kg had I not made him get some technical work in, very supple, good positions, just needs to lift more and to stay stronger underneath the bar.

deep squat needs to work his mobility and getting in to the bottom faster, but has strong squats but needs to work his shoulder mobility so he isn’t holding on to the bar in his front squats!

Do it lads!

I predict at least 85kg Snatch for both of you guys if you train at least 1x a week and get your front squats up to a least 110kg for triples!

They’ll attest to my awesome coaching skills! I’m the f0cking coach!

and now the soreness has all gone lol squated my in do wins yesterday made front squats a ton easier

Been doing the gay stretches every night so far quite looking forward to this weekend
Should have another good session with the oxman

Haha good stuff, going to try and make it down to the club tomorrow as well.

I didn’t actually get much soreness from our workout. I just found I’ve been wanting to eat all the time! :stuck_out_tongue:

First time I trained with Koing I got DOMS in my thumbs. WTF?!

And the disciples have a leader

lol @ DOMS in your thumbs! My thumbs are uber strong!

I wasn’t down on MOnday due to not leaving work until 8…but I have the horn for training tonight after last nights weightlifting banter with squathouse (woodster), glassboy(markymark), bro.

The stretchs are very important. You need to hammer them every night.

You’ll have to sign up to the club as Brian doesn’t like free loaders…

Dam hook grip lol what’s instore for this weekend though?
