Help Finding an Oly Coach in England

C&J mate. The Snatch is by far the hardest to get going and you did 55kg which is rock solid.

You need to improve your front squat rack as that will definitely hamper your Clean recieve if it’s weak. Meaning the bar will just drop to the floor.

Session outline:
Dynamic stretchs
Clean bar work 3 positions x 3reps x 3sets
C&J from the floor

Do some doubles for technical work and then we’ll build up to a 1RM to see what you have, 3 failures tops then drop back to do doubles for 3-4sets

Back Squats

Bent over rows Clean grip 6reps x 4sets

Dips / any strength work you care to do that isn’t bench pressing for you, need to improve your shoulder mobility first before any chest work

Over head squats for fun, paused at the bottom to get use to the bottom position 3reps x 4sets : reps are paused for 4seconds at the bottom

oxman will do the same for for Snatch as if he comes on Wednesday he’ll be doing that on Wednesday.

Hyper extensions for your back 10reps x 3sets

Fonice something to look forward to

Haha, I’ll be shaving sometime before saturday but I can’t guarantee I’ll be completely clean shaven by then! :stuck_out_tongue:

Session was good, Brian kept me at 45kg snatches for triples as he said I should be working on around 70-75% of my one rep max as its a good range for technique while still getting the training element. Made me hold the bottom position for a count of 3 as well to work on my balance in the catch position. Definitely improved on stability just in that session!

Looking forward to clean and jerk on saturday!

back squatted in shoes again today was wierd ground out 6 on 120kg

Thanks for telling me your going to shave your nut, sack and crack for your Clean and Jerk session. It doesn’t have to mean the literal term dude. But when your tea bagging deep squat I’m sure he’ll appreciate it better.

Yes you need the volume work to get strong at the bottom but you also need to test yourself. The ground work will give you the balls to get under a big lifts. Without that you have NOTHING.

Nice. How many 6’s? You need to do 6x6 mate. A top set isn’t good enough.

Don’t do any overhead work. Rest it up.

Yes get a feel for the weights. Don’t load up on pulls to mid thigh, it’s only an exercise for coordination, getting you to pull the bar WITH STRAIGHT ARMS and getting your hips and shoulders to move in unison.

Post in the normal training thread mate.
