Report from my meet back on 7/18:

Weighed in at 181.

Hit my squat opener of 475, technically a 25lb meet PR already lol.

Second attempt, got buried with 500. Felt no power in my hips, just couldn’t make it anywhere out of the hole. No idea why; I thought I would hit this 100%. It felt like no problem in the gym. Passed on my third.

Smoked 335 bench opener. Nailed 350 second. Decided to go for 365, got it pretty smooth. Wasn’t expecting to get that on bench, very pleased.

Opened with 500 on deadlift like always. Went ahead and took 560 on my second just to lock in 1400. Fucking annihilated it. Decided to go for 585 on the third since deads felt so amazing. Got it, clean as can be. I was blown away, deads felt so powerful that day. I guess that’s just what happens when I give my lower back a few days to recover.

So that is 475/365/585 for 1425 @ 181. I’m happy with that. Really should have had that squat, but that’s an 80lb meet PR on the total, so I can’t complain.

Recent gym PR’s to note: I squatted 405 for 5 in sleeves the other day. Also I randomly hit 225 for 20 reps on bench a couple days back after doing my heavy sets. That was cool; I’d been trying that for a while. Also did touch and go deadlifts with 495 for 8 reps.

Here I am a year later. Just did a meet last weekend. I totalled 1600 at 198 naked knee. Technically I weighed in at 194.
Squat: 470/500/515
Bench: 385/400/410
Deadlift: 605/655/675

Went 9 for 9. In fact I didn’t get even a single red light.

Lessons learned: Dbol works.
