I now feel slightly autistic for not thinking of that joke before you.
Beltless 3" Deficit Snatch Grip Deadlift:
405 1x That was actually a pretty tough lift lol.

That sounds like it would’ve been painful to watch you do. Exactly how rounded over were you to lift this? Also, is it good for anything? It seems like it isn’t specific enough at that point.

I’m not sure if the specificity is there but if you are lacking in spinal extension, leg drive or upper back strength this could do some good. You’d have to be a fucking masochist to do them regularly though.
Chris, your philosophy reminds me a lot of Archer. If you were to take a break from training I’m pretty convinced the effect of the cumulative DOMS would kill you.

I’m stealing that quote lol; that is brilliant.

Oh I was rounded as a motherfucker. I don’t have the hamstring flexibility to even get into a decent position like that. I just like doing things like that sometimes as a challenge lift. With a better weight selection though it very well may help with my upper back position and static strength on my pulls.
Just starting the process of conditioning my thumbs. I’m switching to hookgrip. I am 100% set on this. I had trained with straps for a while lately, and after doing some pulls with mixed grip it felt really noticeable that I was twisted. Being able to be double overhand feels so much better and more even on my hips and back.
