Have You Overcome TRT Induced ED?

Which proves the point…. Some people suffer sexually on TRT and are loud about it. For ones who TRT made no diff they aren’t on here…. I am missing the point you are trying to make….

Sample size includes testimonies on this message board as well as multiple others including Reddit.

Example:
10% have a problem with something. They all show up to complain.
90% have no problem with the same thing. They are totally silent.

Your conclusion is almost everyone is having a problem with this thing. You are not seeing the sampling bias.

Point to me where I am saying or implying this.

Yes…. Agreed…

I am not saying TRT is problematic for the majority when it comes to sexuality on the contrary what I am saying is you guys are the ones writing off that 10% with it being all in their head or something else trivial, because it worked for you (the majority).

If we were to make a Venn diagram of the ages that men go on TRT, and the ages men are diagnosed with ED there would be a lot of overlap. Just something to consider.

Ok guys I get it, we all get it. You guys refuse to listen to those of us who clearly flat out tell you all “I was fine or at the very least better in comparison sexually compared to being on TRT now”

I am not saying it is all in your head. I am saying, “Why not eliminate as the possibility that it is performance anxiety?”

Put it to rest. You know it isn’t your mind causing the problem. You know that it is your hormones, most certainly.

I did that.

You got people literally saying post TRT problems started. We are just chucking it off to coincidence?

Do as you wish. I am just saying how I approached the ED problem.

I am sure people thought of that. Hence them clearly saying over and over and over “after TRT…”. We even got testimonies saying things once again improved going off of TRT.

No performance anxiety for 30 years or not as bad, after TRT all of a sudden there is completely lost for hope noodle dick even with viagra/cialis level performance anxiety?

To be clear, I am not saying you are wrong. I am just saying that it would be a mistake to think because these issues came after TRT that it has to be TRT.

The most likely scenario is that it is hormone related in this situation IMO.

I just think for the guys that have tried all sorts of adjustments to protocol, but don’t have issues resolved, that they should consider that it might be anxiety, age related ED, stress related, vascular issues, etc.

Just seems like a big coincidence, as well as said some guys clearly had problems before but after TRT all of a sudden those symptoms are amplified even further.

So forget the argument that it was “only” TRT, it’s just a fact some guys were not doing all too well before but there was hope. Partly the reason they even turned to TRT, but no now even worse.

I agree. I think that is also why for many of the guys in which it is a coincidence that they dig in even further. Many of them are right, but not all.

It is a difficult nut to crack indeed.

First of all, I do not believe that TRT inherently “gives you ED”, as in: Injecting the hormone testosterone, will kill ur libido, period!

However, as we can see, many (including myself) suffer shit libido and/or ED when we start test.

So something is going on.

I do not believe that testosterone fucks up libido for majority, of even most people.

I live in the northern parts of a scandinavian country, many guys here in the gyms are pure powerlifters/strong men with all that comes with it. That is:

usually naturally “big” guys
beard
laughing a alot
loud
happy go lucky
nothing seem to bother them too much

Most of them use a shit ton of test and dbol.

What you commonly hear is: “Oh yeah I upped my test … my wife is complaining again”. “I just cant deal with this sex drive”, “I cant think of nothing else no more…”

blabla
blabla

IE: Testosterone do INDEED, for most guys, increase sexdrive, it is uncommon for it to KILL sexdrive.

Testosterone as a hormone should NOT NOT NOT KILL UR SEXDRIVE, if your sexdrive goes to shit on test, something is WRONG.

Now …

What is wrong?

Low shbg?
Too high androgens compared to estrogens?
Too high estrogens compared to androgens?
Too little/too much DHT?

Bad injection frequency for that particular individual?

There are a million things that could be the cause. Maybe is the cause … might be the cause!

What is NOT THE CAUSE IS:

Not enough lemon juice
Not getting 8+ hours of sleep
Vitamine B being out of stock
“Performance anxiety”

… Ofcourse, given if libido was good/normal BEFORE test.

When I jumped on TRT, my test was low AND my estrogen was low. YET STILL my libido was pretty good.

Why?

Is it “okay” to have low estrogen if your test is also low?
Does the problem start if u increase test and u dont aromatise enough?
DO YOU AROMATISE TOO MUCH?
Do you drive shbg too low causing things to get messed up?

… But if low shbg is the problem … how come literally all bodybuilders/powerlifters who are on tons of gear, and most likely have SHBG in the gutter … usually have little to none problems?

What if testosterone increase some other shit in your brain that makes ur brain freak out?

Could it be that testosteorne increase shit like norepinephrine too much that temporarily - during the state of high testosterone - essentially removes the brain focus on reproduction and puts it in increase attention/fight mode?

Could it be that the convertion to estrogen increase serotonin too much which in turn - for this individual - decreases/kills libido?

I do remember when I was around 20 years old and my natty T levels wasnt screwed up yet and they were pretty good/high,

… aswell as libido…

When I used some pre work outs with tons of stims in it, it killed my libido temporarily cause of too much fuck all neurotransmitters firing off, I had ZERO interest in sex - during the time I had the pwo shit in my body.

I remember when I tried “5 HTP” many years ago, that is supposed to increase serotonin … it killed my libido when I used it, so i stopped.

Again … with perfectly normal/good T levels with a good natural balance of testosterone to estrogen (given I had great libido when not using these stims/tabs/whatever).

Sooooo what gives?

It could be many different reasons that is a result of the test injections: Again, too much serotonin? Too much norablabla? Too much this, too much that!?

But it IS hormones/neurochemistry, it is NOT the fact u forgot to eat ur eggs for this week or you slept too little.

What I do know is this:

It can be solved, for most (or all) of us, we just have to find that perfect “balance” - Frequency? More AI/less AI? Estrogen patches? More T, less T, change to IM, change to subQ, SOMETHING, the solution is out there!

How do I know? Cause ive been hopeless for years and I literally thought my libido was dead forever … but now it works great again … well, atleast temporarily when using this dosage and other shit.

So it is hormones, you just have to find what works for you.

Uh end of rambling

This answer is phenomenal and inspiring, thank you so much friend! I will continue to experiment and figure it out.

This is essentially performance anxiety.

I do think for most that have issues post trt with ED, it starts as hormonal. But then once things aren’t happening down low, the anxiety adds into it. So it’s mostly hormonal, but the mental part then adds into it all.

I’ve wondered if testosterone is increasing the adrenaline bit too much like you’re saying. This will def kill boners.

Adderall is known for killing libido (while on it, I don’t think it has a next day type of effect). That is for the majority I believe, some people do report a heightened libido on it.

I experience low libido after getting a runner’s high. I can get this from endurance stuff like running (duh), or from difficult weight training (either very high volume, or heavy workouts). I am using caffeine as a PWO. I don’t get lowered libido from caffeine PWO if I don’t get the runner’s high.

Some people’s libido may be more sensitive to neurotransmitters (of the fight or flight variety). Perhaps testosterone has enough of an effect on these to cause issues for some people? IDK. It seems like a reasonable hypothesis. At the same time, I don’t think Testosterone has much of a stim effect if any (although if it did, it would be present all the time).

I was on 2 mg daily clonazepam for 30 years, sleep was never a problem. I did find it difficult to drive when tired. Coming off it destroyed my sleep quality and was a contributor to my testosterone decline.

I tried coming off in my early 20’s, went from 8-10 hours sleep to none for over a month.

Anecdotically when I used to workout 5x week, did cardio every damn day, diet was 100% on point, was lean and jacked, ran 250mg test-t per week and smoking good weed daily my libido and erections were brutal af. Pretty much always with a hard-on around girls all the time with mad mad thoughts lmao Now after starting TRT @ 100mg after 3 years OFF and not smoking weed, my libido is alright but erection quallity probably half as it was before and some days better then others. I’ve bumped my dose to 125mg/week, def see athletic benefits on muscle fullness, body recomp, and I think I have more energy and drive, more decisivness etc as well BUT my downstairs department feels more off, if that makes sense. So I think i’ll go back to 100mg/week as per my recent labs at trough show top of the range levels fwiw. Before starting TRT I also had decent erections and probably even better. But on some days it gets better on some worse. Just like piano keys needed for the melody are white and black. Haven’t tried the low dose protocol yet, so can’t say my experience regarding it. Very interesting topic, but I try not to stress about it too much, as it becomes detrimental to my overall wellbeing and automatically the downstairs department. Hope you feel better and keep fighting. I think the less is more approach is better for long-term health but thats just me. Best of luck.

If not taking it every day and only periodically the dopamine hit from adderall i thought can actually increase libido, it makes me feel good and boosts mood. The erections take a hit though due to vasoconstriction due to NE i guess.

I think with these things, is that while you’re on weed or on adderall, you have a lot of circulating dopamine. Sex usually feels better.

But when you’re not, your body is at a lowered dopamine state, therefore making things worse. In other words, both contribute to a lowering of dopamine over time, unless you’re under the influence at the present moment.

I am trying not to watch porn, or smoke pot, which i enjoy. I want as much dopamine at the ready for sex. Porn is damn near impossible to quit I find.
