Have You Overcome TRT Induced ED?

You can test that thought with Xanax.

Seems like the most common side effect of TRT is ED.

FUCK THAT.

OP i’m sorry this is happening. And it’s not psychological. Well, at least at the start. Now it may add into it.

TRT does something to fuck up the brain/penis link. If I HAD to guess, it has something to do with the zero’ing out of LH due to exogenous test being added. Could try HCG, but it didn’t work here.

MANY deal with this. I’ve never found a solution other to pray that when i pop my numerous Viagra, things work. It’s HELL>

I recall a member couldn’t get his dick to work on TRT, at any dosage or shot frequency. He went on Clomid and everything started working again. TRT can interfere other hormone pathways that disrupt sexual functioning.

Add estrogen.

How is your DBol cycle going and how is your friend doing?

What was your T+Primo protocol if it was a cruise?

I agree. There is something not right.

But what I dont understand is, MANY also report much better libido and erections on TRT, night and day difference. This is what puzzles me

This part aggravates the hell out of me lol. They even say the higher T dose they went the better. Maybe it’s a vocal minority on the internet kind of thing?

Libido has been hit and miss, in that there were times yeah it did seem like TRT helped. But in my case erections, forget about it, I would do anything to return my erection quality pre TRT.

My natural values were 400 TT and untraceable E2. There goes the whole e2 loving argument when it comes to erections. The only thing I can think here is some sort of shut down of the pathway messing with me, so maybe go on HCG and take a bare minimum dose of T in order to try and revive the pathway but keep E2 to a minimum.

This is a good reason to eliminate anxiety as the cause of ED.
The solution is fairly simple. Xanax is a simple starting place.

Withdrawing off benzos, especially Xanax is anything but simple.

Things changed for the better after starting TRT and adding Cialis 2.5 mg per day.
You might look at that. For me, ED didn’t go away on just TRT.

I also have an appointment to review adding hCG next week. Looking forward to discussing that with the Dr.

Xanax over time can really mess you up. I would consider alternative options

Clearly, many believe that I am suggesting using Xanax as a treatment for ED. That is not at all what I am suggesting.

I approach this as I would any 6 Sigma Problem.
Y = f(x)

What are all the “x’s” that can possibly cause ED? The nearly entire discussion above focuses on a hormone solution. But one possible cause is performance anxiety.
To determine a hormone solution involves a multitude of “x’s”, and changing one influences another, and another, etc.
Your blood tests are snap shots and not continuous so you can see the variation. It is a complex nightmare where one solution works for one person and not another. Why jump right into that fray, without first eliminating performance anxiety as the cause of ED?

Don’t get your doctor to treat your ED with Xanax. Right now you don’t know if it’s the cause. Have a test plan in mind (PDCA). All you need to do is get your doctor to write you a script for 6 pills.

  • The first test you try taking 1 Xanax an hour before sex. See if your ED improves.
  • The second test you try taking 2 Xanax an hour before sex. See if your ED improves.
  • The third test you try taking 3 Xanax an hour before sex. See if your ED improves.

Be sure to place a few days (maybe a week) between testing. If you have to get to three Xanax, and you haven’t been taking any (except the other tests) it will probably knock you on your butt the next day.

If you got no relief from any of the tests, then you can eliminate performance anxiety as the most probable cause of your ED. And unless you have absolutely no constitution, you will have no problem “getting off” Xanax.

Problem is is that OP didn’t have ED before TRT. And now with TRT, he does.

So the notion it is performance anxiety, on its own, doesn’t seem plausible.

I might be awake for the first test. The second two, my wife would have to let me know how I did after haha.

I am going to spend this year attempting to find a protocol that works and improves my erections. If it doesn’t work, I’m just going to say f**k it, just go to say 150mg a week and stay there, and then jump on board the Tri Mix train. Is it a pain to do? Sure, a bit…but lifes too short man. If thats what I need to do to have strong erections, I’ll do it, stop trying to find perfect protocol, and enjoy life again

When I got laser eye surgery, they gave me a “baby” Xanax because they wanted me to rest after the surgery. I think I slept for about 6 hours straight in the middle of the day.

I agree. What has changed? There is a good likelihood that the problem lies there. But… as humans we must deal with the most mysterious organ in our body: the human mind. What if the initial ED event was random (or at least you are not certain of the cause.)

A single ED event, regardless the cause, can “get into your head.” Once you are in your own head, the journey out is difficult. I would eliminate anxiety as the cause, even if I didn’t believe it was. That is done very simply…

Good to point out one of the more common logic errors (post hoc), which is especially prevalent with medical treatments.

Too many anecdote cases of TRT making things worse, even if the problem was there before TRT, it made it worse at the very least or completely messed things up at the very worst.

This is where I completely agree with @Robroy in that it’s not the amount of banana intake per day, or fish oil, or vitamin B, or doing tai chi every weekend, doesn’t matter if i ate my carrots with olive oil, etc. It’s clearly the TRT.

And this is based on a sample size of?

And certainly it is far from random sample. Those having poor results are screaming. Those not having a problem? Are they even reading these threads?
