Has Anyone Tried Dowin Olympic Shoes?

I am planing to buy one, so any feedback would be appreciated

I really like mine, fairly cheap and do the job. Good for wide feet too.

Beside the fact that they look like bowling shoes with heel they are solid. The 0.5’’ heel version from Rogue is very interesting.

very good had mine over 5 years, show no signs of wear. Tough solid shoes

Heard only good things about these shoes.

I’ve had a pair for close to 1 1/2 years and they still work just fine. Not to crazy about the style (mine are black) but they get the job done at a good price.

Straps were overly long, and shoes fit the length of my feet but were wayyyy to wide. Would not recommend for skinnier feet. lol.

The soles on my Dowins started chipping away around the toes after about a year. The overall construction quality is quite inferior to a Nike or Adidas.

I’m using Nike Romaleos 2 now and it is like night and day. The Dowins just felt like they had sewn a floppy fabric onto a wooden sole and called it a shoe. Its like they are still building shoes like they did 70 years ago. Just my opinion of course, but I absolutely love my Romaleos. If you just hold the shoes side by side, its an obvious difference.

I got some of the newer ones (not the plastic soled, two straps new but the ones with the covered wood sole), and had to drop from wearing size 8 - 8.5 regular shoes down to a 7 (tried a 7.5 but there was too much empty toe for my foot to move around in), and i spent a fiver on a tool to put some eyelets in, and i can really graunch them up now so i’d reccomend that.

Also the ‘leather’ (says it’s leather but feels different, especially the shiny pinky-red ones) feels pretty stiff and thick, kinda like work boots.

The strap comes up pretty short on the two i tried, it only comes back about halfway onto itself, and the buckle digs in slightly into my foot but i have flat arches and it isn’t really a bother since i wear them tight and do pretty uncomfortable stuff most of the time i’m wearing them anyway… i only notice if i keep them on for ~10min after while i have a shake etc.
