been looking for a new pair of olympic lifting shoes.
what are some thoughts on where to buy from. they are very hard to find i had the old VS style but now im having a hard time finding any other then the nike romalo or adidas adistar.
there has to be more options out there then that.
Pendlay do-wins and Risto’s are both good shoes. Rogue has wl shoes as well, which I believe are do-wins as well.

I have used rogue, adidadas powerlift and romalo! romalo are so much better though! i find its so much easier to stay upright because of romalos! definately recommend them
nike FTW
Get the Romaleo 2’s.
One of the best investments I’ve ever made.
Thanks for all the suggestions guys I’m going to look into all of those shoes that you guys recommend especially the romalos. But are there any websites other then just Nike.com and amazon that are legit sellers of O lifting shoes. The romalos were pretty easy to find same with the Adidas. Because they are both sold on their website respectively. But it seems like there are not many other sellers unless I’m just missing them. The only ones I’ve owned were the Vs brand. And I got them off amazon.
And is Everyone in agreement that the Romaleo are better then the new adistar weightlifting shoes?
I ask because if I take the plunge and spend 200$ they both have roughly the same price tag and I’ve never heard anything bad about the Adidas.

Romaleos are like the Ferraris of weightlifting shoes. You just can’t go wrong.
At first I was also kinda unsure about dropping $200 on a pair of shoes, but man were they worth it. It’s like I started a new chapter in my lifting career.
I’ve some guys talking about the higher wooden hell on the Adistars (Adipowers have new polimer heels), plus the shoe itself is much narrower.
For the greatest points to consider about the Rommies are:
- Entire sole of the foot resting on the floor = concrete blocks for feet
- Heel is cupped = stability king
- Straps in opposite directions = super stable tightness
The ONLY thing that I don’t like about them is taht the highest strap is too long and it kinda scraps the floor when tightened.
If you get the Nikes just make sure they send me my paycheck for this.
I have the new 2013 Pendlay Do-Wins and they’re pretty sweet. There are a lot of obvious influences from the Romaleo with the heel and straps. I would recommend them, and they are a little less pricey at $130 with free shipping. They do run larger than your normal shoes size though.
