Good night overall. My training buddy was ill so he was a no show today. On to the next one.

Getting back to consistent work.

Love dead benches. Especially for raw lufters we all need speed and power off the chest why not start there? Great work

Strong work as always GV. It looks like your partner is working out.

Thanks Matty and Crippler.

Glad to see you are getting back to a routine you enjoy.

Thanks OP.Didn’t train tonight due to crazy schedule with work, kids, and work again. Last night the training buddy couldn’t come so I lifted and had a good evening.

185 x 5

Sling Shot Bench Press:
225 x 5
275 x 1
305 x 1(First time over 300 in a while and it felt nice)

All went pretty well. I have the itch to get my bench over 300 so hard work will ensue.

Good work in here man, how is the Farmers walk doing for you?

Rick, the farmers walk with the trap bar was a killer so we’re likely to do it again soon, maybe tonight. 230 lbs for a little over a 100 yards was traumatizing for days and afterwards I felt like I had shredded body fat and my entire body felt tighter and a bit stronger after rest and recovery.

Last night went well and my training buddy resumed lifting.

T-Handle Swings:
110 lbs x 40 swings(btwn sets)

Squats:(RAW, ATG)
135 x 10
225 x 5
315 x 3
405 x 1
497 1/2 x 1(Had a bad squatting night and every rep felt heavy)

Incline Bench Press:
135 x 10
285 x 5
225 x 1
250 x 1

Sling Shot Incline Bench Press:
275 x 1

Hanging Leg Raises:
1 x 20

Benching went pretty good. My body is just worn out from all the labor and lifting this past week. Going to rest up today and tomorrow and get back to killing it on Monday.

My apologies to everyone for not having time to visit your threads but two jobs, lifting, kids, the house, etc. has been overwhelming me and time has been and will be limited. Last night the training buddy was a no show but lifting went well.

T-Handle Swings:
110 lbs x 40 swings(btwn sets)

Squats:(ATG-RAW!)
135 x 10
225 x 5
315 x 3
405 x 2
498 x 1

Fat Griz Close Grip Benches(10 Face pulls w/green ban between each set):
135 x 10
185 x 5
225 x 1
255 x 1
270 x 1

Hanging Leg Raises:
1 x 20

Really happy with my squat and benches last night. The face pulls between sets really get my shoulders and upper back primed as well as pain free for benching. I think I will incorporate the face pulls until I don’t find them useful anymore.

Remind me what’s next for you competition-wise?

Here is a new twist on loaded carries.

Walking Dbell overhead walks. These are evil when done with weight over 50lbs. And distance over 50yrds

I dare you…

Double Dog Dare…

kpsnap-I am so busy with work right now that I am not sure but I would like to do a Raw United meet coming in May and I want to do a USAPL meet in June.

Rick-I will give those walks a try but I am going to start with 35 lbs dumbbells first. Then I’ll give your dare a run.

Last night the lifting went well but very fast which may have hindered my upper heavy sets from being higher.

T-Handle Swings:
110 lbs x 40 swings(btwn sets)

Front Squats(using front squat harness-Raw):
161 x 10
251 x 5
341 x 3
441 x 1

Fat Gripz Bench Press:
135 x 10
185 x 5
225 x 1
255 x 1

Standing Overhead Press:
135 x 10
165 x 3
211 x 1

45 min total lift time went very quickly and I’m worn out today mostly due to only getting 5 hours of sleep last night. I may take this evening off to rest up.

Fast lifting time becoming normal for me right now due to heavy work schedule, family, etc. Training buddy a no show again but he said he’s in the middle of a rushed contract(constructing a bar) so maybe he’ll come back, whatever.

T-Handle Swings:
110 lbs x 40 swings(btwn sets)

Squats:(ATG-RAW!)
135 x 10
225 x 5
315 x 3
405 x 2
499 x 1(Micro Plates are great)

Close Grip Floor Presses:
135 x 10
185 x 5
225 x 1
261 x l

Hanging Leg Raises:
1 x 20

Compacting time and moving through the lifting quickly will hopefully pay off in improved conditioning and heavier lifting in the near future.

That’s a lot of work for a short period of time. Like you, I wish I had a full time lifting partner. What I have found, however, it is hard to find someone I can count on.

Looking strong GV. I understand about the lack of time and visiting threads thing. If only we could hit powerball.

Nice squatting GV! I have a set of micro plates too, love them for getting over sticking points. Sometimes a pound or two is all it takes to get some steam rolling in the right direction.
