Thanks Dave, the bench is moving a little yes. I wish I all of a sudden had a 25 or 50 lbs jump but I realize I’m not 21 anymore so I’ll take inching along and the gradual increase as being positive. Maybe in the next year I’ll get somewhere close to you if I am very fortunate and consistent.
Lifting tonight was fast and furious.

Lifting only lasted about 35 minutes. I was flying to get to class. Crazy schedule. My bench felt great and the squat was easy but I forgot to go up in weight today, oh well.
The lifting, plus swings is impressive. That’s a bunch of work in 35 minutes.
Thanks Crippler, cooling down was tough and I had to in order to be comfortable for a 4 hour online course.
I agree with Crippler, that looks like a lot of work in 35 minutes. Not sure about you but it takes me at least 90 seconds in between sets of heavy swings and longer than that if I’m fatigued from doing other movements.
Dave sometimes I go right from a set of lifting to a set of swings or swings to lifting. I was really cruising and I am devastated as a result. Tonight was much the same as last night, a big rush.

Wanted to do more but I was pressed for time and worn out from a hard day at work and fast lifting. Oh Yeah!
Things were a bit rushed again but I got my basic format in.

35 minute lift time and off to class. I had a great, strong day because I was furious. On my way home from work this old biker followed me home(lives in same neighborhood) because he was going 30 in a 45 so I went around him on the turn(plenty of space) in to the hood and he wanted everyone held up behind him to follow his slow-ass lead.
So, when I got out of my truck and walked up to him with my machete in hand and told him to “Mind his own business!” the biker didn’t like it. Had to tell him a number of times because he was emphatic that I had to be more careful etc. So, I kept telling him to mind his own business and stop trying to control people and he finally gave up. I think he thought I was going to be a passive pussy because he needs special cookies but screw him. I used to ride and I didn’t do that crap so anyway I have one less possible old biker friend who lives in the hood. My anger was a great rush.
Road rage is always a good workout stimulate.
Gotta be careful out there Gorilla. Anyone would be crazy to confront you, but that’s the point. There are a lot of crazies out there.
Those fast workouts should be good for you. Change in workout routines is usually positive.
Keep up the good work and study hard.
Thanks OP, I know you’re right about the crazies. I was ready for war but I later considered my family and my need to be there for them. Sometimes I’m a bit duplicitous in the instant when it comes to standing my ground, mostly I’m just an idiot, but in many ways I am not apologetic for telling it the way I see it.
If you need back-up I have Tomahawks and throwing knives and I hate slow riders! great lifting GV…I’m going to have to become a swinger and see how it goes…
Gotta love neighbors. That’s one reason I live in the country. I agree, though, anger is a good way to get fired up for a session. I like the machete part. That’s old school.
Thanks for the support and back up is always great to have. Machetes can make a statement.
Haven’t had time or the energy to devote to any lifting Friday or Saturday. Today I am working and I plan to lift tonight time permitting. Crazy schedule with my virtual training class coming to an end and my family and regular business activities seem to be ramping up. Busy bee time!
I did a lot of physical work today and with my crazy schedule I found the need to make an executive decision. The final move is/was to take the day off from lifting and recuperate to lift tomorrow. I feel like horrible for missing today but one must listen to the fatigue to fight another day. I believe a strong performance will more than snap me out of the funk tomorrow.
Lifting tonight was okay.

This reminds me of something that happened to me last year. I was driving home from the grocery store with my 9 year old son in the car with me. In my subdivision, this grouchy old bastard is tailgating me to the point of discomfort. I pull in my driveway and he stops in the street in front of my house. I get out of the car and tell my son to stay inside. I start walking toward him and he gets out and tells me I drove in the left turn lane on the main road outside our sub for too long before turning (maybe a couple hundred yards - gimme a break).
Surprisingly, as I am not a confrontational guy, I lay into the guy about driving like an asshole in my subdivision where my (and other) kids play. I told him him to move on before he gets hurt and I keep walking towards him. To his credit, the old fart, he stayed outside his car but close enough to jump inside if I made a move. He told me he had my license plate number, and I told him that was good, have fun, now move on!
Amazing how your protective instincts kick in when your family is involved. I was surprised at myself for reacting that way, and I know it was potentially stupid, but in a way I’m glad I did. I hope he got the message - trying to control others is usually a bad idea.
Anyways - I like following your log. Sorry for the chime-in. Carry on - great work, by the way.
Never been involved in an instance like the one above, but I know if the same percentage of males in the world carried guns in their car as the percentage of males in my family…I wouldn’t leave my car lol

An excellent point - these situations shouldn’t be taken lightly. The thought of somebody lecturing me on my driving in front of my son after dangerously tailgating me in my own neighborhood prompted my response. I was surprised at myself, and I know it was potentially foolish.
I just wish I lifted at home - I would’ve set new PRs for sure after that! LMAO

I don’t have kids tho so I’ve never experienced the papa bear mentality
