Yeah Matty, those CG Floor Presses really work my triceps hard as well as my whole upper body.

I’m moving my squat up to 500 lbs for a 3 second pause without a belt wraps or sleeves before I begin using my fractional plates for smaller increases in my daily squat weight. Looking forward to hitting 500 on Friday then beginning the new month with the smaller jumps.

Had a hard time getting going today to lift. Thanksgiving preparations are in process and I’m going to make my famous pesto turkey, stuffing, fried gizzards and onions and garlic, and my daughter and I made some dark chocolate chunk brownies. I’ll cook the turkey on a slow roast for about 10 hours and the meat will fall off the bone. So I lifted.

My intercostals and obliques are aching from doing the raw pause squats but I like it. A good night and the challenge will be getting my lifting in tomorrow night after everyone leaves. Plus, my sister in law is having a baby tonight which makes tomorrow more of a challenge because I will be visiting her at some point and my wife will be at her side tonight and tomorrow for who knows how long.

I haven’t hit anything with 330 on the bench in over 2 years so that felt great and the squats felt strong. I especially liked doing 225 for 10 reps because I haven’t been able to do that for so long. I used to be able to hit 225 for 20 reps anytime so making progress is so sweet now. Squat - YouTube
