Felt like crap tonight but I am almost over this cold so I lifted.

T-Handle Swings:
100 lbs x 2 sets x 20 reps

Squats:
135 x 10
225 x 5
315 x 3
425 x 1(No wraps, no belt-ATG)

Bench Press:
135 x 10
185 x 5
210 x 4 x 3(Paused)

Standing Crunches:
80 lbs x 20 reps

Quick and easy.

Squatted the cold away! I need to remember that one. Good work. Just a few more days.

Solid work. Is the meet this week or next?

The meet is Saturday, November 9 in Palm Bay, Florida. I think my cold is gone but I only was able to sleep about 5 1/2 hours last night. Hopefully I will be able to nap today after work. I don’t want the bug to creep back on me.

Feeling much better this evening although I’m still coughing up yellow and green, just not as much congestion. Also, had a killer work day with exhausting large hedge trimming and bagging so I did my last lifting night prior to the meet on Saturday.

525 lbs x 1(ATG-Opener for meet)

Bench Press:
135 x 10

This is the first time I’ve done this much lifting the week prior to a meet. I’m following the high frequency Bulgarian training so I hope all works out for the best. Have to say the 525 squat felt heavy tonight but considering my work day and that I’m getting over a cold perhaps that’s okay.

Like I tell my kids, hard work always pays off. You’ve put a ton of time into this. Now it the time to focus your mind. The work is pretty much done.

The work has been done. Leave it all on the platform!

Thanks ya’ll. I’m taking today off and doing a ton of mobility work and rehab. Tomorrow, lifting should be a blast.
