Question on Zerchers as you are the one that got me started on them. How much forward bend are you allowing? I was finding reaching a bit forward hit the abs better, but last time I was doing them until the bar rolled out of the crook of my arms and onto the forearms, and then onto the floor. I donāt have a harness and like the core workout, but donāt really like dropping weights eitherā¦is there a better way to hit the core with them?
If your just using the hooks of your inner arm for zerchers then I would recommend sitting back as far as possible and letting the bar roll into your body. The abs and entire core will still get blasted though you may feel it in a different way.
Corrmhona-Still not concrete on my openers yet for the meet but I will make a decision soon. 600 lbs may be a good squat opener but that may be my second attempt.

You are working out in front of the straights with your garage door open? That is too much even for Halloween⦠Did you have to explain they were real weights because some of them didnāt believe a person could lift that much?
corrmhona-Well, you know all those strong people in my neighborhood probably lift more than me or are in better shape so my lifting is most likely nothing to them because they work out in the no judgement zone or another chain meat market gym.
Matty-I donāt do pause work with the Fat Gripz but it seems that my pause PR is very close to whatever my Fat Grips touch and go is. This comparison is only good for me though and I donāt know if it applies to anyone else.
The crowd where they are sure the ābigā plates when they were lifting were 100ās, not 10ās so they must have been curling 400# easyā¦and probably in the squat rack.
confusion-I would like to have at least a 300 lbs bench and 600 lbs deadlift as well as a 600 lbs squat in this meet next Saturday. I may exceed these numbers but I would be pleased with a 1500 lbs total that is well done. It would be a real honor to earn my first best lifter award and have a 9 for 9 day.
On another note I decided to take yesterday off from lifting and today as well instead of Saturday and Sunday off because I am just aching all over and family events.
Thanks OG, now I have to hit at least 1500 or Iāll be accused of just whistling dixie. My best is a 1600 lbs total a couple years ago and I want to surpass that this coming year with well planned training and hard work.
