5#…side effect of lifting a huge ton of weight.good luck!
Thanks fellas.
It’s always easier to not have to diet down. I miss those days.
Seems like a solid plan for the meet and being several pounds under the weight is nice. Gives you one less thing to worry about.
Much easier, I agree, Crippler. And Dave, yes less worry. I was going to bust my butt again tonight and lift hard however reason has bested me as well as the baby shower so I will come back to lift on Monday and rest my old bones this weekend.
I figure I have 5 to 6 days of training left and a couple/few fairly light days of lifting before the meet. The suddenly cooler temps here have helped me put on few pounds and I’m eating good. The high temp here today was only 80 degrees and this next week the highest will only be 86 so I’m stoked.
GV, good luck in your meet. Enjoy the baby shower. There should be food there.
Dude, you’re an animal. Kick some ass!
Thanks guys for the encouragement. The baby shower was a success. Serious training to come for the next week.
Came in tonight after having a crappy day. A customer forgot to pay me, some fool at the storage facility did a hit and run on my trailer and I got him on video and the cops won’t do anything about it(Say my insurance should investigate and I should pay for that), and I got turned down on a loan. My attitude was angry and I wanted to hurt somebody so the iron felt good.
T-Handle Swings:
100 lbs x 2 sets x 20 reps
Squats:(Wore Knee Sleeves and will in Meet)
135 x 10
225 x 5
315 x 3
405 x 1
585 x 1
Bench Press:
135 x 10
185 x 5
225 x 3
255 x 1
285 x 1(Paused-New PR)
Lifting for about 40 minutes and I feel like I left some in the tank on both lifts so there’s room for improvement. Here’s the squat and I think it’s competition depth:
Strong work GV.
I had a similar incident in Florida with a rental car on private property. Had a witness who saw it and the other vehicle had damage and paint from my car on it which the witness took pictures of and police had no willingness to even discuss the issue.
Channel the rage. When you are squeezing the bar, pretend it is his testicles…should add a bit to your lift… ![]()
