Happy 60th Birthday Arnold

.

.

yeah happy 60th =)

Got a kinder pic from december 2006, back to looking fairly solid (in hospital!)

i’ve seen some of those beach pics - looked like arnold swapped muscle beach for fat beach for a while! eating and (not) training like a policitian too long.

Are you guys kidding about that beach pic? I’ve heard it’s totally bogus, some guy who vaguely looks like him.

And this would make sense anyway: does anyone really believe he’d be able to go from that mess (on teh beach) to the pic in the hospital?

I thinkest not.

I thinkest that lighting can affect how a picture looks. Both making him look worse(bodywise) and making his face look different…

hmmm…okay, true enough about the light. But I thinkest the burden is on thou to show it’s him. Verily I say unto you that it is exceedingly difficult to demonstrate a negative (i.e., that it’s not him.)

Also, methinks he has a massive scar from his heart valve operation, no? It’s normally covered with make-up I think. Mine eyes cannot spy it.

I read a cool “tribute to Arnold/happy 60th” article in Muscle and Fitness (gasp T-citizens aren’t supposed to read that!!!) about his life and rise through bodybuilding. It came with this cool pullout poster of him with pictures of himself in present day standing next to lifesize cardboard cutouts of himself from each decade since the 60’s.

To be honest, I had never really learned all that much about him despite him being one of bodybuilding’s greats. It was an interesting read for sure.

And I swear it was the only thing I read in the magazine. Honest.

Arnold for President!

“I was elected to lead, not to read.”

Happy birthday, Arnie.

The beach pics are real and were taken just a few months after recovering from his heart surgery. They were also taken just a bit before T3, and we all know how he looked in that.

I’d like to see what some of the people who talk shit about him for those pics would look like after heart surgery and nearing 60.

I haven’t heard anyone “talking shit” about those pics. I did hear someone question if they’re real. That was me.

Umm…have you ever seen someone after heart surgery? They usually have a huge scar.

Perhaps you’re right and they are real - if so, the guy is even more amazing than I thought, and I have boundless admiration for the guy to start with.

Anyway, cheers.

Did you see me mention your name? No.

My statement was to those in general who always seem to pull those pics out anytime Arnold gets mentioned anymore, and if you’ve been around here or any bodybuilding forum for much time at all, you would know that it happens a lot.

It may not be “talking shit” per se, but every time someone posts those pics, it’s obviously to mock him.

…uuuuuhh, duuuh. what’s your point here? Who cares, arnold doesn’t care, nobody cares. it’s all in fun. I’m sure he’d have a nice laugh over it too. don’t be going around being the “fair police”.(e.g.It’s cuz he’s 60!!)

Dost thou not knoweth the beauty and art of plastic surgery? Perhaps arnold doth fix it up?

Obviously you care enough about the matter to find and post a picture of him at his worst in a thread about his 60th birthday.

Maybe he would laugh; he’s obviously not ashamed of the pics, as he had no problem coming out and admitting they were real when they were first released.

I have a feeling he would have a bigger laugh, however, at the jealousy of people who feel the need to bash him at every opportunity, when he’s accomplished more in one day than most will in a lifetime.

It’s not about being the “fair police”. It’s about getting tired of clowns who whip that picture out every time a thread about Arnold gets started on any bodybuilding message board.

It’s usually the same people who are the first to claim “Roids!” or “Photoshop!” whenever someone demonstrates an impressive physique change, while never putting up pics of their own.

Hey, the way America raises kids these days Arnie’s in better shape than most 12 year olds!!

Happy B-day Arnold! We know youre reading this!!!

Yeah, whatever he looks like these days, there’s no denying that he has accomplished one hell of alot in his life. I know through the years there have been various stories about him ranging from adultery to sexual harrassment to him putting ‘spin’ on everything about his life, but whatever the truth is he set out to achieve certain things in his life and he sure succeeded in doing them.

Also how many people were motivated to pick up their first weights after seeing him and even today people cite him as their lifting inspiration. We will never know what bodybuilding would have been like if he hadn’t come along, but I for one am glad he did. I think he deserves his place in bodybuilding history.

Thanks for putting some timing to them CC. I think that once people realise those pics are before T3 then all criticism is pointless. The pics will have been especially selected for being unflattering as is the case in these ‘expose’ media things.

There are several of those pics and though he is soft and looking a bit fat the muscle is still under it all.

The fact that he looked great shortly after and keeps himself solid looking when getting his leg fixed up in hospital tells you the man is still in exceptional condition! Happy 60th!

okay you are taking this way to personal. I’m not bashing on anybody, or am i jealous, just putting up something funny for a good laugh, if you can’t see that then you are an idiot who needs a different perspective on life since your automatic assumption is that ppl have insidious intentions in harmless actions.
