Gym in Northern Virginia Recommendation

Hi Darren. Cool…anoter Wahoo…

I didn't like CVille much. It has nothing to do with lifting cuz I didn't start exercising until my last semester. That town has NO decent airport and NO real mall. Since I fly a lot, I want a big international airport near where I live PLUS nice malls for shopping. :)

Kieth,

Thanks for the note. Unfortunately I already joined one...Grr... I don't know if I like this gym or not. I'm still trying to decide. The weight room is always too small and too crowded, and too many idiots are doing biceps curls at the squat rack. (Are we allow to shoot them?)

To all -- this gym quest has been very time consuming and difficult, esp. because it's hard to find a good one near by, and good ones are far away. Seriously, when I move next time, I'm going to shop for gyms first AND then buy a house right near the gym (10 min drive or less!).

I live in Vienna. I feel ya on your commentatry of the area. BTW did you make it to Catacombs downtown yet? or Nation? Or any of the industrial clubs? Or have you made it to old town Alexandria. Much better places to hang. Depending on whatcha-in-ta.

No, not really. I’ve been working sh*tty hours mostly or traveling. I spend most of my time working, sleeping, and hauling my butt to the gym if I can manage to keep my eyes open long enough to work out. (very very sleep-deprived most of times…I can’t fall asleep easily and I can’t get a good night’s sleep even if I do manage to fall asleep – insomniac, what can I say?)

On top of that, I play violin, so I must practice. Otherwise I'm going to embarrass myself horribly in front of my teacher. *wry grin*

I wish I had 100 hrs/day.

Well no wonder you haven’t met anyone cool you do not go out except to work and gym. Both are not the smartest placed to met people. Good luck though… smirk…wink.
