yeah i mean like i said it cuz you do get a pump doing that workout, a crazy pump like no other i had ever experienced, so pump just slipped out. i think it was this simple little slip of the tongue that started this whole thing, well, that wouldn’t be the first time a slip of a tongue started a war…
Either way, I’m doing 5x5 and GSD for my diet. Weight is coming off pretty good maybe too quickly? Biggest issue will be me going to vegas to celebrate my 21st birthday smack in the middle of the diet.
While on GSD/5x5 how much cardio would one be looking at doing? My metabolism is decent and hasn’t been killed off by GSD yet and I truly worry that I’m losing weight too fast, any thoughts now that we’ve decided that GVT is not a typical pump workout, not a cutting workout, not a strength building workout?

If youre worried that you are losing weight too quickly, bring the calories up slightly and see if you level out some.
Yah I know that, the thing I was gearing my question more towards is whether or not it’s typical to lose a large amount of weight in the first week of GSD due to glycogen depletion and loss of water?
Well added an extra 150 calories to my diet to see if I slow the weight loss down just a tad. All and all I’ve been cutting down quite nicely with GSD/5x5 combo. I live for the re-feed days and I’ve decided it’s sad when you set your alarm early in the morning on a re-feed day so you can have more hours to eat heh. I’ll post before/after pictures in a couple weeks to show the difference.
Try the Waterbury approach:
Whole body 2-3x the week:
70-80%of 1rpm
Volume:24-36
Rest:approx 90 sec.
Too much intensity will burn the cns out-too much volume will cause fatigue -hey bro you are on a diet, you can?t break through the roof.
volume 24-36? Reps or what?
Nope its repxsets:
fex:
24-36 would be:
3setsx12 reps (volume 36)
8setsx3 reps (24)
3setsx8reps (24)
etc.
If you need more detail search for
REP SET BIBLE.

its quite good-I use it since 2 years and sticked with it.
