Grounding mats

Over the years I have read about grounding. Whether it is walking barefoot on the beach or outside there are benefits. Inflammation reduction, better sleep and improve mood are some of the presumed benefits. Sounds like a no effort method of healing. Has anyone had any experience with these?

I’ve welded in the rain a few (a lot more than a few) times, which makes you part of the circuit, and pretty well grounded.

You’ll never meet a happier bunch than shipyard welders that just spent 10 hours welding in the rain.

They make a hell if a sales pitch

i have a grounding bed cover, under sheet. forgot brand. fairly noticeable sleep improvement, both subjective and via 2 sleep trackers for me and wife.

The benefits of being bare foot can be achieved with wearing a flat, minimal cushion shoe (chuck taylor etc). Helps you regain some slack in your heel chord over time which can help a lot of things up the chain.

As far as walking around barefoot to be ā€œgrounded with mother earthā€ its probably nonsense. But, if you feel it works and you feel better, then it does. Do what makes you feel good.

I walk around barefoot quite a bit in the summer while im fishing.
