You’re looking really good Mike! I saw RJ’s shout out to you on Facebook today, good stuff. I saw that he said you’re 19 weeks out…is that the plan for sure? I’m a big believer in taking your time with a prep and making gradual changes to preserve muscle and metabolic health, but man that seems like a long time to me. You’ve already been going for 12 or 13 weeks haven’t you, because we started at about the same time.
I guess I just think you look more like 8-12 weeks out. 19 more weeks of prep would put you at well over half the year dieting, and that’s not to mention the weeks you’ll want to spend reverse dieting. RJ is obviously great at what he does and if you’re ok with dieting for 30+ weeks then props to you! I just don’t think I’d have the mental fortitude to prep that long without really hurting my passion for the sport
I mentioned 19 weeks for worst case scenario I don’t want to say 12 then show a progress pic 5 weeks from now saying whoops never mind another 12 weeks. This way saves face for myself but most of all him.

Haha shows how much I pay attention. I did not even notice the caption with the pic. I was just happy with the pic itself.
RJ’s explanation makes sense. I feel pretty stupid that I mentioned how far out I was from my original show in my PR videos. Good thing I have 0 subscribers and only 100 views

That makes sense :). Hope you didn’t think I was saying it’s not a good plan! Just was curious about the reason

Nah no worries just want to ensure the best for my clients like that saying always under promise and over deliver
Slightly unrelated. Got a new tat this weekend. My gf’s artist booked her for 4 hours for her 2 hour tat. Her, her mom, her dad, and me all got tatted.
p.s. I also hit a front squat pr. 315 x 1 @ 172 lbs bw. Tried 335 and had to dump it. I really want a 2x bw front squat but am skeptical that it will happen during prep.

Brother I wouldn’t expect to hit any PR’s during prep, but it can happen. Looking strong and lean though. Props!

I hear ya man. I am surprised with how many PRs I have hit at this point of prep but I do not expect that this will continue for much longer. I already feel that my back squat has started to stall so I assume the same will happen to my front squat.
Appreciate the compliments though. Always means a lot coming from you.

Thanks! Still working out some form issues but other then that felt solid. I am pretty happy with where I am now and where they are going.
I am normally at 190/275/60 p/f/c on a normal day and go to 225/205/65 on rest days.
Small drop of 100 calories but obviously the ratio is much different.
Been following along - nice work, looking great man.
Any adjustments to the diet since you posted the above last month? I scanned through and didn’t see any, but was curious to see if those numbers are still working for you or if you had to drop anything so far.
