Sorry I haven’t responded to everyone yet. My email alerts are fucked up.

Looking on point man! And that cakes looks delish, much more visually appealing than the ones I make haha
Thanks man. Been experimenting a lot with recipes. That one ended up being the best so far.

Chugging along real nice man,it’ll be hard to get those glutes and hams and low back in, but you’ll do it!
Means a lot coming from you dude. Can’t wait till I get some glutes striations going.

good stuff. that cake you made looks awesome.

not as fun but worth sharing - sugar free high fiber fruit spread mixed into no fat greek yogurt = fruit on the bottom type taste. - good for extra protein on the go.

hodgeson farms sugar free pancake mix is good too…drizzle some pb and sugar free syrup on there…mmmm…pancakes
I am going to have to try that out. Especially the pancakes. Normally I just cut up some strawberries and put them in my greek yogurt. Great postworkout snack.

btw I took your advice and have been messing around wit my forearm angle during FDB and RDB. Deff like the look of opening the angle up from where I had it.

Thanks Stu. Im hoping so.

Arms looking massive in the side chest pose.
I really like my side chest except for the fact that I lack some rear delts. Will deff be something to work on after the competition.

Fantastic looking pictures, but seeing how lean you are at 167 and at 5’9", I have some serious muscle to gain still at 5’11". I guess I still have another year or 2 of work :frowning:

Thanks for being both the motivation and the kick in the head to put me down to earth lol.

Keep it up! I enjoy your log.
Thanks man. Knowing that I provide motivation for people helps push me push that much harder.
usmccds423 wrote:
Lol, tell me about it. I can’t believe Berg is under 170…He looks much bigger!
I can barely believe I am under 170. My parents still don’t believe me that I am 166. Haven’t been this light since high school (6 years ago) but I look much bigger now.
Justliftbrah wrote:
Just curious you lost weight but you look bigger. How much lean mass did you gain and how much fat did you lose? A competitive bodybuilder once told me bodybuilding is just an illusion not sure what he meant at the time. Great job btw.
It is definitely all an illusion. Some of my friends came for a visit recently. They hadn’t seen me in 5ish months. They asked me how much I weighed. I told them to guess and they said 190. They couldn’t believe I was under 170. Striations and cuts deff help make you look bigger.

Thanks brotha.

So today was the start of my new training template. No more percentage based lifting.

Bench:
WUS
185 x 6
205 x 6 for 3 sets

OHP:
WUS
115 x 6
125 x 6
135 x 6

HS Press:
90 x 12 for 4 sets

BB Rows:
135 x 12 for 2 sets
185 x 10 for 2 sets

Reverse Fly:
20 x 15 for 4 sets

French Press:
80 x 12 for 4 sets

Seated Fat Grip Curls:
25 x 12 for 2 sets
30 x 12 for 2 sets
the pump on these was insane

I kind of like going back to doing sets by feel. Doesn’t make me feel as weak. The first week or two is probably going to be feeling out around where I need to be weight wise to hit 3 sets of 6 on the big 4.

I just want to start off by thanking everyone for the support you have given me over the past few months.

Unfortunately I have to pull out of my contest.

For the past few weeks I have been dealing with some very serious hip pain. I am pretty sure I have told you in the past that I have with Perthes Hip-Disease. Because of this I have Osteoarthritis of the Hip.

Over the past couple of weeks the increase in cardio (the only factor that has changed) has significantly bothered my hip. I have been trying to find alternatives (bike, elliptical, stair mill, kettle bel swings, etc.) to avoid the hip pain but it has done nothing but get worse. I talked to my mom (she is in the medical profession) and orthopedist (whom I have been with since the beginning of the problem) and we believe I have Trochanteric Bursitis.

I have reached my limit on NSAIDs and stretching and icing no longer make an impact. It has gotten to the point where I wake up every hour in pain and can barely sit for longer than 30 minutes at a time. I can no longer just push through the pain. The only solution I have left is to stop all activity that bothers it. This would include taking a few weeks off which may or may not solve the problem. I am afraid if I ignore this any longer that more serious problems (another surgery) will arise.

I have decided my long term health is more important that a single contest. I hope to get this all sorted out and someday compete in the future.

That’s a shame Grizzly, but I think you’re doing the right thing. I hope you get better son!

Very sorry to hear brother. I know that it’s not always easy to look at the big picture concerning your health, especially when you’ve been so focused and driven on a single goal for so long.

Take the time off, hopefully heal up and feel better, and you’ll see what the future holds as it comes.

S

Sorry to hear that Grizzly. Following your prep has been awesome; you have made a great transformation over the past few months.

I hope you heal up well.

looking good bro

make sure you filter the ever-living fuck out of the pics you post lmao

This journey was not a waste of time. I am still very proud of my development and progress. 17.5 weeks and 26 lbs lost.

Damn impressive. You should be proud!

You definitely put in the work and made excellent progress. Sorry the contest is not in the cards right now. I hope you heal up fast.

looking good man! very impressive. out of curiosity, what are your arms measuring right now?

They were a little over 17" cold flexed when I started and today they are a little under 16.5" cold flexed.

Man I’m really bummed to hear that Grizzly, I’m sorry man! Any consideration given to stepping on stage at your current level of conditioning? I think you’d be very competitive. Maybe you could hold this level of leanness without using cardio?

This is a bummer Grizzly but man you made some huge progress during this time so be proud.Hope you heal up quick.

Gutted to hear what happened man. However, heavy 'miring the progress you made! RDB looks nuts.
