I think I’m turning this into my workout lot now haha
Sounds good to me! Nice work Greg, I admire your combination of size and athletic ability. I should start putting more of an emphasis on explosiveness in my training. I play college baseball but prefer lifting like a bb’er haha
Thanks for the kind words my man.
I value performance and look equally. So I’m experimenting with adding an “athletic day” to my current lifting program.
Today I did:
Ring pull ups
Tire flips
Burpees
Box jumps
Battling ropes
Abs
And finished on the stairmaster.
It liked it a lot and will probably add some tire sledge work as well as medicine ball, KB and sled work to future workouts. It was a lot of fun but made me realize how lagging my cardio is at the moment. Onwards and upwards from here
Been really sick for over a week now. My son got sick, have it to my wife and she gave it to me. We’ve been in quarantine for a while now lol. Finally got back in the gym today for the first time in a little over a week. Felt small and really flat today since I had no appetite while sick but got the blood flowing and a little bit of a sweat.
Monday I messed around with some snatches after working up to a flat BP single of 345. Missed on 355 but I think I would have had it if I wasn’t sick… Whatevs.
Anyway, messed around with snatches for the first time ever and they were so much fun. No pain at all in my torn labrum which is what I was always apprehensive about. Here’s a little video of my terrible form snatch.
Please critique away. I’ve been told not to roll the bar like that cause I’ll lose my tightness as well as I’m muscling it up and need to work on my catch. Any tips, critiques, pointers, instructional videos, anything is welcome. I really liked them A LOT. I think with a little technique I could be putting up 225+ pretty easily. This set was 95lbs and I did a few with 150lbs.
Advice, tips, even a old fashioned “your form sucks balls” is welcome. I am all ears. Thanks a lot ladies and gentleman! Hope your weekend is awesome.
Go Lakers! Go USC! Go 'Niners! Two wins down, one more to go for a great sports weekend
I had the goal this year of making the push towards finally hitting a 400+ bench, 500+ squat and 550+ Deadlift (really I want a 600 pounder but my DL sucks and I figured I’d start with a more reasonable goal)
I haven’t trained bench/squat or DL very seriously with regards to max strength gains in probably 2 years? I just re started and hit new PR’s last week on flat bench (355) and Deadlift (485)
Body weight is 208-209 so hopefully I can keep gradually gaining strength while continuing to drop fat and get leaner.

Hey, just thought I’d mention posting that vid in CT’s forum. He’ll help you out tremendously.

Dude, you can see your tricep hanging off your elbow from front… Lookin’ deezed homey.
^^thanks man. Trying to just tweak a few things and tighten up a bit. Still slowly working on dropping some bodyfat to get down to a bf level I’m happy with.
