Good Powerlifting Routine?

Im 160, i deadlift 180 x 5, my one rep max for bench was 180, squat at an unimpressive 150 X 8, i do dips with a plate, do chin with a plate(both X8) i do pull ups with a 33pounds X 5. I want a good powerlifting routine, but im at a lost of finding one.

Just earlier you were asking whether batman would do squats? I responded you would be good doing squats, but powerlifters are not agile in the same way a cop needs to be.

What is your goal?

If you really want to do powerlifting visit the strength sports forum, or check out the ws4sb series.

Well i want to get stronger now, not so powerfull that it will hurt me cardio wise or agility wise.

Well more clearly, i want a certain amount of strength to be able to take down a larger criminal. Bodybuilding isn’t really something i would need. And power lifting was probably the best solution for strength gains. Since you aha, helped me come to terms with squats, i want to do powerlifting because i think that would help me most in achieving my strength gains

If you trained for BBing, you would still be stronger than people who don’t train for shit. It’s not like you just build muscle and stay weak. Same goes with strength training and how it affects size.

If I were to be a cop, I would rather go for BBing cuz you would look more intimidating.

LMAO. Careful, you might wake up looking like Ronnie Coleman one day. God forbid. If I were you I’d just stay away from weights.

starting strength. Do it.

I think Ronnie is a cop.

NOPD to be exact

seconded on the starting strength

WILL DO, and i mean if i have to chase a skinny fast guy alot of bulk won’t be on my size, Alot of mass just isn’t my thing.

try to get paired up with a fast guy as a partner

he can chase down the perps , and you can beat their heads.

you searched the entire internet and couldnt find ANY info on a good P’lifting program ?

Nothing that really is what i wanted, but im going to do starting strength it seems good, but im weary on the only 4 excercisexs per session

Dear, Count Chocula

You are 160lbs of probably not that much muscle (yet); stop worrying about “getting too big”. It’s not something that I; with 7+ yrs training experience, nor thousands of the rest of us on here ever have thought about. You seem highly confused with what you want; I suggest you take a brief hiatus from posting on here and read. Figure out what you want from training; and then post on here for people to help you.

ok, im bored and umm like to think alot so i post on this site, whenever i think of drinking water your picture is ingraved in my damn head, so you helped me there, and umm yeah its just i see bulky thats not what i want, i want strength, endurance, thats all i want, be a cop and im trying to sort through alot of shit to find out everything i can, so sorry for the multiple post things.

~C Choc.

no worries man.

i’m not trying to be a dick. i just know how so much information and so many questions can really bogg things down and next thing you know it; its been a year and you haven’t gotten anywhere.

keeping it simple really is the best way to go about training at first. good luck!
