I normally don’t care for band work when I can either use bodyweight or free weights but these I actually have to plug because they’re probably the best and most versitile band product I’ve seen!

Looks like a pretty nice set if not a little light though.
I was looking at these for a possible future purchase too.

Okay, on the off-chance that you’re not plugging these because you’re in some way affiliated with the company, why are these preferable to JumpStretch bands? Those are the ones used by the big boys for PLing and the fast folks for all kinds of stuff…and these just don’t seem to be better than the JumpStretch bands.
Care to explain? This isn’t a flame, I just don’t understand your point.

Him. The bands you linked to look good-- are they the IronWoody ones? The ones he linked to…not so sure about.

I just ordered a set of those from midwest barbell. I got the 5 pairs (bands #1 through to #5) for $158 and I ordered the band training manual from EFS. To be honest I can’t see why the Jumpstretch ones, that EFS sell, cost so much more.
I’ve been big into Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers lately.
Formerly known as The Refreshments whose 90s hit ‘Banditos’ peaked my interest, initially. Roger Clyne also penned the King of the Hill tv show theme song. lol

I personally like the red hot chili peppers.

They look good and are reasonably priced.
I don’t work for this company. And normally I just think most band work is bogus.
It has its place, I won’t argue. I just personally don’t find much use for it.
My beef with most other bands - they either come with NO handles, or each band comes with its own handle which makes packing them around (say for vacation, to your grannies house to train her, etc) completely cumbersome.
Great those big bands can give up to 200lbs resistance but come the freak on…who is going to use 200lb band resistance? There’s weight plates for that shit.
I simply like this set because it’s easy, nice, convenient, and you can use one handle to load up all the bands (with 90 pound total resistance; more if you buy extra black bands and simply use those) AND it comes with an easy way to hook onto something. Most bands leave you wondering just where you’re going to attach the other end to, to get the exercise execution done right.
Another alternative for exercise bands:
the big heavy bands like Jump Stretch, Iron Woody are execellent for pull-up assistance.
those other things, (rubber tubes) are used for light work, rehab injuries

These two quotations make me wonder whether you’re familiar with what ‘band work’ can actually mean. It’s all about accomodating resistance…
Because of some joint angles and the velocity of movement, the force of the movement in any lift is less at certain joint angles. For example, in the barbell squat you may be able to quarter squat 500 pounds while you can only full squat 300. So the bands allow you to accomodate resistance throughout the entire movement.
There’s much more to it, of course, and the Westside guys (along with many others) have written a ton about this.
