Steve, October 23 looks to be a push/pull for me. Gonna shoot for Elite shortly thereafter.

MJ, did I see you were gonna lynch me?

Kevin, I understand ya. I have been drawn to guns more out of a creepy fascination, more than anything else. [/quote]

I can’t wait to see the meet results. What is elite for you? I’m so used to looking at IPF numbers. Are they different?

thats a helluva Pr you slipped in there Pete!

elite among geared lifters is based upon how many spotters it takes to spot them. so for example, a novice level geared lifter would need three spotters for bench. one on each side and a liftoff. elite level would need approximately 25. one to liftoff, two to yell stuff like “belly up” and “down, down”, ten per side in case a seem breaks on the shirt, and at least three to get the shirt “just right” for the attempt.

Meat you are such a hater.

MJ, me and Lucifer are buds, I’ll admit it.

Ms. O, 2000 is the ballpark I am shooting for full meet wise. Like I said, think 10/23 I am opting for push/pull, but am going to look for something soon after to go full power. My timing on stuff right now just isnt’ right for full this meet.

Ouch. Is your beanie considered gear?

Wow, Pete. Last night was a big night for you!

thanks for the support all

today 30 elliptial, ab wheel 2 x 15

2000 would definitely get you elite. what’s your best total thus far Pete??

I had a RAWWW total in the mid 1500s

Great training, as always Pete. No matter how much else you got going on, you always seem to get your weight work and GPP in. No need to make a pact with the devil when you are that consistent.

thanks Jack

assist. night

stand calve 1x 20, 1 x drop
reverse grip bench up to 315 x 13, PR
really high incline dbell 100s x 8, 125s x 8, x 6
rollings tris with mini around back 100s x 10, 125s x 7
laterals 40s x 10, 50s x 10, 60s x 10
bbell curls 115 5 x 10 w/30 seconds rest between sets
hammer curls 75s x 8, 95s x 8
rope down/extensions 4 x 15 each

So you are like’in the reverse grip bench.
Nice rep PR.

What do those do for ya’all?
If both Meat and you are doing them, you guy’s know something important or maybe there’s some other kinda luv goin on.

yep likin’ the reverse grips. easy on the shoulder, beefs up the triceps, pec, and lats, and allows me to get some heavy work in without stressin the joints. I consider it a heavy assistance exercise right now, but might, like Meat, take a run with it as a heavy raw movement in the future. plus I haven’t pulled straight weight from the floor in forever. tonight was a barometer reading for what I will pull in October

speaking of raw, pulled raw conventional tonight. was nervous with how things would go, tired, body ached, as usual running on little sleep. by Thursdays I feel pretty well cooked

warm ups 145 x 5 235 x 5 325 x 5 415 x 3 505 x 2

505 felt really heavy, almost bagged it and called it a deload…

555 x 1 615 x 1 655 x 1

slow off the floor, because I have been working on top end stuff so much, but all finished easy 655 should be around my opener

wanted to do 555 for reps, but after helpting people with gear, spotting etc I picked it up and I was cold, felt too tight, so finished w/ 555 x 1

CSRs 2 plates x 10 3pl x 10 4pl x 10 5pl x 10 6pl x 8 5pl x 15

ghr 2 x 15

dbell shrugs 2 x 20 w/130s

prowler fixed, went and did 90lbs x 40yd x 6

Work being done here! Like where your training is heading Brother!

damn pete!!! 655 raw is awesome. you really need to come back to the light and lift raw. stop fighting it, just give in. i bet you would do awesome pulling raw and using a reverse grip in your next meet.

besides, we are competing on the same day. the mojo would be unstoppable.

i need to see a vid of you pull’n.

sometime in the next year I would like to train for and do a RAWWW meet. Maybe. We shall see. Want to get that gearwhore Elite before that though.

655 is awesome. Great pulling.

“call it a deload” nice

MJ, remember, JDD…

(Jesus didn’t deload)
