Going Bananas

crappy squat night. Everything felt awkward. depth was unattainable. Bar weight felt light but just couldn’t get down. Finally worked up to 635 for a single, was supposed to be a double. Dive bombed it to depth and came up fine, but felt like my bad knee was going to fall off so I racked it.

Finished with SSB to low box, 3 x 6 w/ 3 plates. I need to keep stuff like this in to keep my knees strong, and I haven’t been doing them for like two months.

came directly from work, first time my training partners have seen me in anything but workout clothes. The consensus is I somehow make business casual look scary.

Congrats on finding work!! I don’t know about your business casual look but your lifts scare the crap out of me. I have nightmares of being crushed under the weights you move…But the jaw flapping? only 1000?

rolling tris 3 x 10 with 110s + mini band around back
Bradford press 5 x 6-10 with pathetic weight
hammer incline 3 x 12
cable laterals 3 x 15
rope down/extension 3 x 15 each
preacher curls: a bunch
barbell curls 3 x 10

moved at fast pace, to get done quick. lots of adjusting with job, commute, etc right now.

at least you can look forward to an income stream now. you’ll figure out the daily/weekly schedule in good time

one nice thing about the new job, is that it is located 5 miles from the bb club. so I am pulling there now, instead of the commercial gym.

pulls against green bands. adds about 200lbs at the top the way we have them set up.

working sets 325 x 3, 415 x 2, 465 x 1, 505 x 1. Locked out easy, will up the weight considerably next time.

usual raw warm ups, then shirt on 500 3 board x 3, 590 2 board x 3, 620 1 board x 2 (PR), 650 2 board x 1.5, ran out of gas.
raw 320 x 8. Heart wasn’t into it.

What the hell kind of shirt do you wear that you press in the 600s? Holy shit. 650 is like pressing almost six of me.

snap, I wear a stock 2ply Titan Fury. not the most popular multi ply shirt but I am doing my best to make it work for me:)

Sounds like it works pretty well for you. I have a hard enough time getting single-ply to work for me. I’ll tell you. I’d be a happy camper if I never had to press again. Nice work.

Yeah, gonna do another APF meet end of October. I have no training program now but the one I create moment to moment. And I am back to work, being the new guy for the first time in years. The meet should be full power if I can keep my shit together between job and family, but I still reserve the right to pull the ghey clause and just go push pull or bench only.

FYI was going to do cardio today, but was wayyyy too busy. But I did mow the lawn in 100 degree heat after taking a fat burner, so that should kinda count.

i have a meet October 23rd. i also plan to go full power but ALWAYS revserve the right to go full on ghey BOF.

I’ve cut the conditioning crap out to make room for one more training day. i would like to say that i miss it but with this heat, i really don’t.

My meet is the same day.

I too am missing the conditioning stuff. I am trying to compensate by just being busier and more active, but I need to work some sled/sprints back in.
