well, I did 585 x 2 a while back, 545 was a cheap PR because I felt like shit, wanted a PR, and haven’t really ever done defecits for more that doubles.
You also gotta understand I am training with dudes that pull 800. I feel like a wimp.
I guess I need to train with some larger types.

Regarding the tight ass pants, me getting the correct briefs is becoming more comical. I have done 555 for 3 raw, in fact I have done 555 x 5 raw multiple times in the last couple of years. In the briefs it felt like shit. Comparing both mine and a new pair a training partner got, gym owner took measurments and yesterday called, told me mine were miscut, that he already talked to the vendor and to send them in. I have been trying to get the right pair since December, so this has been a ridiculously long and stupid journey. All because I want to squat a shit load by the end of the year.

rolling tris with mini 90s x 10, 100s x 10, 115s x 8, x 6
dumbell bench 3 x 10 w/115 these were pretty hard, tris were pretty fried
pressdowns s/s dips 3 x 15 each
curls in squat rack 45 x 10, 95 x 10, 135 x 14
reverse curls 3 x 10
laterals 35s x 10, 45s x 10, 55s x 7
face pulls 3 x 10

Another plus: owner of the barbell club had a grill he needed to dispose of. He bought a new one, thought the old one needed a new starter or something. Big beautfiul stainless steel piece. Didn’t need a new starter even, just a battery in the starter. Big fat ribeyes to celebrate.
Mmm, ribeyes. I just grilled up a nice fat flat iron steak–which is a surprisingly tasty piece of meat–and some very sweet corn on the cob. Apple pie and ice cream is next on my agenda.

This week was gear deficient. Had a minor hang over, hang overs and being in a bench shirt sucks.

Had interview today, went well. Actually, it was the whole interview process, hiring manager wants to move fast, so I met with him, then 2 potential coworkers, then market VP. Then was told the VP thought I was the best, and highering manager would choose between me and one other, and would let me know by end of day or first thing in the morning. Didn’t hear anything yet today, so the verdict in pending the a.m.
Of course, this left me a ball of stress for the rest of the day. And while my cell rarely rings, I got more calls today, just to make me jump.
By the time 6 p.m. squat time rolled around I was even more of a bag of knots than usual. Every weight felt heavy. This is what I did:

leg raise 4 x 10
Went to do the prowler but got a phone call that the house was burning down, or something to that effect, and that my toddler would not go to bed. Got home and everyone was asleep, with a long note about how he wouldn’t pick up toys etc. etc.
If I have the gumption I will push it tomorrow. We will see.
