Does anybody know of a good article explaining glycogen depletion?
One of my questions - After a carb reload while following a low carb diet, how do I know if/when I’ve depleted my glycogen stores?
Glycogen holds water right?
Let’s say for example that I weigh 200lb 100% carb depleted (or as close as it gets)on Sunday morning and do a carb reload that day. Monday morning, I weigh 210lb, which I know is water weight. After my workouts Monday and Tuesday, Wednesday morning I weigh 200lb again.
Since glycogen holds water, does that mean that since I lost the 10lb water weight that there is no longer glycogen to hold it? Or is it more complicated than that?
