I’m look to purchase something to facilitate doing GHRs.
Is there really any difference between a specialized GHR apparatus and a roman chair apparatus?
I’m thinking along the lines of this:

You can do a back extension parallel to the floor on a GHR or Roman Chair.
You CANNOT do a GHR on a Roman Chair. The main part of the movement in a GHR is the knee flexion at the top of the movement that brings the body (above the knee) perpendicular to the ground.

Yep, but you may be able to manage reverse hypers which I’m not too convinced are that much different than regular hypers. I have a roman chair, but would get a GHR bench if I had it to do over and the cost difference wasn’t outrageous.
My gym just bought a roman chair marketed as a GHR. It’s just not the same.
