Did it three years ago at 44. For me, it was a very good move. No problems sexually or in training. I admit, I didn’t know about the reports of lowered T, and it wasn’t something the urologist reviewed.
Same here. Auto-immune and lower T was never mentioned by the Dr., nor was it in the pamphlet he gave me to review. I did a lot of reviewing on the internets, but I never saw anything that discussed the issue. It all seems to have come out since my procedure. I definitely would have spent more time on the subject had I known.
Had mine done. Very simple, very easy, no complications, 2 days with the ice pack on my junk. 10 years later, no problems, no side effects, no loss of sex drive, no drop in T, no drop in motivation to lift and no drop in lifts. Life is good.

So is this auto-immune/lower T thing a myth or a fact and how common?
I don’t know about lower Testosterone from a vasectomy, I have never heard of that nor does it really make sence to me. Autoimmune problems can be caused, but they generally are not a problem as they tend to only effect the individual sperm and it’s not like you are using those anyways. Anti sperm antibodies develop in 2/3 of men who recieve vasectomies, they target sperms motility, however they are only a problem if you wish to reverse the procedure.
There are a few other problems that can develop such as epididymitis or sperm granulomas but those would have happen with in the first year of the procedure if they were going to. These problems come with inflammation so I think you would know if you were experiencing one of these.
I hope this helps.

Ronda, I’m thinking of having mine reversed…any chance you could help me test my sperm’s motility?
I know this is the least of most people’s concerns when considering a vasectomy, but I’ve always been curious about this: How does it affect the money shot? Is it greatly reduced in quantity? If so, does that affect the pleasurable-ness of the orgasm? Do you just shoot dust . . . ?

I was going to say yes but then I noticed that you left Connecticut and moved to Finland, once again distance is our enemy

Confetti flies out…my wife and/or girlfriend(s) sing Auld Lang Syne everytime I pop.

I thought you wouldn’t be able to resist me in an exotic location…and if that doesn’t set someone up for a zippy double entendre, I don’t know what will…

As far as your load goes, if i remember correctly, the prostate makes it and the testicles add the sperm to it, so you’ll be shooting the same stuff, without the seasoning.

Can you add your own seasoning? Mrs. Dash has all kinds of stuff now.

The first guy that figures out how to make it taste like chocolate will become filthy rich.
buddy of mine had his reversed a short while ago and came back more potent than before, haha. go figure. also said it was waaaaay more painful to have it reversed. i imagine snipping (shudder) is far easier than sewing back together (second shudder).
Had mine in 2004. I had an allergic reaction to the stitching the used so I was sitting on a tennis ball sized sack for a few very unpleasant days. But the procedure will have nothing to do with either your natural test or your training after you can walk normally which is usually two days unless you get what I got. Even then a week later it was like nothing ever happened.
