I’m considering having this procedure and wanted to see if anyone here has had it done, or can share any info about it. From Wiki: " The “Vas-Clip” method does not require cutting the Vas Deferens, but rather uses a clip to squeeze shut the flow of sperm. This method claims reduced pain in recovery, but statistics suggest a much lower overall success rate compared to traditional methods."
I’ve come across some mixed research about how effective it is.
I had the clips. they put two clips on each side and mine worked fine.
ive heard that the procedures are cheap, but getting it reversed is the hard part? any insight? clips sound reversible.
im 26, fairly certain i dont want children, certainly not unplanned at least. the last thing i need is some fling to convince me to brick in her when im drunk so she gets pregnant, decides she wants to keep it so she can start a family because her best friend is getting married and she is getting jealous of the attention her friend is getting over her. if i want children, ideally i would like to get un-vasectomied at like 35 after a discussion about family planning and finances and goals.

Good luck with that approach.
I went full cut, only reversable with 70% within 5 years time. Feels like you got kicked in the balls for 2 days…that radiating pain in the stomach and thights of being ball kicked HARD!
About the clips…I don’t see why you would not just cut them if you don’t want reproduction. I think the failure rate would be higher too, thereby not really meeting the ultimate goal of a vas.

did you get it because you already had children and didnt want any more, or didnt ever want kid?
looks like if i want to get snipped its gonna be permanent. i either need to up my standards of female company and stop using slumpbusters so its not gonna be too bad if i accidentally knock one up or get snipped and accept never having kids…

Same here had the full cut, going on 16 years this month. Yes it feels like getting kicked in the nuts for 2 days, also dont get it done in a clinic. Go into the hospital and get knocked the fuck out.
I can’t imagine that the clips would be reversible after a certain amount of time. Cutting off the blood flow to part of ones anatomy is not usually a good thing for that part and it will be more difficult than just removing the clips to get it working again. Would likely require removal of the clips, snipping out the dead section and reconnecting the vas, similar to what they would do with the full cut. Don’t know for sure though. The wife got fixed instead of me. I offered, but she wanted to do it instead. Lucky me, I guess.
It just sounds really painful. Not just physically, but a lifetime of bad memories of getting kicked in the schnuts all coming back at once.
CC…you really shouldnt have kids so…just get all your low-hanging fruit lopped off.
If you ever want kids or aren’t sure, don’t get a vasectomy. Any ethical doctor will tell you that. If you don’t want kids, why not get them snipped? Either way they’re cutting open your sack and it will probably feel pretty much the same, regardless of what they tell you. I second the approach of getting knocked out. I went through a clinic and did not have a good experience with the local anasthetic (it didn’t work).

I wished I could have taken a picture of the chair/table I was laying on during the procedure. I was so tense (Watching a 3 inch needle approach your sack for the local was enough) I could slightly feel the cuts and I could smell the burning flesh as it was cauterized.
After I got up and pulled on my pants, I turned and looked at the table I was on. I was so nervous and tense that there was a 360 degree outline of sweat from head to to legs all around the area I was laying!
Any of you vasectomized guys have any sexual side effects? I’ve heard this discussed before but I always hear from a guy who knows a guy who had a chat with a guy who knew this girl(who dated a guy) with a vasectomy. I want to hear it straight from the horse’s mouth.

I have two kids. I’d like to have a vasectomy done, but my problem is with T levels, and other hormones too. It doesn’t seem to change in any ways, but it would bother me that if it does…
