Vasectomy Reversal

Anyone ever had this reversed?

I had mine about 8 months ago…thinking we were done having kids. Both daughters are in school now and the wife and I have been casually discussing going for one more.

One thing that bothered me originally when I had a vesectomy was I felt she was pushing me that way so she could stop taking the pill which is harmfull to take in the mid-late thirties. Plus our relationship was rocky at that time.

Now things are back to normal, but I don’t know…If it works, then I go right back to another vasectomy AGAIN…which is an experience in itself!

Didn’t you just get a tattoo that represented your kids?

Now you will have to mess it up.

I am assuming you didn’t have any of your soldiers frozen before the procedure.

This is generally a common thing to do in the event that someone jumps the gun.

From what I have read reverse vasectomys aren’t all that garaunteed and are pretty pricey and then another jump right back after sheeeesh!

If you really want a kid you have no other choice, although you could always adopt?

Reversal success is higher in the first 5 years. Cost would be 4k to 5k depending on the Dr.

Just as I predicted.

I can just get a new tat. I don’t have to mess up the old one. So Nostradomas…will it work?

Well that sucks. I had my vasectomy last October and it was an experience I don’t want to have to go through again (anesthesia didn’t really work for me). If it were me, once its reversed, its reversed and I’m not going back again. The more often they cut open your sack, the higher the chance that something gets effed up. My balls hurt just thinking about this. Btw, your nads keep producing sperm after a vasectomy, so maybe they can pull 'em out with a needle???

Ever consider adoption?

I don’t want kids and should get a vasectomy done to be safe. However, if I decide to have kids, I’d be more than willing to adopt.

A needle in my sac is no big deal anymore. It just feels like someone kicked you in the nuts for a week.

Vasectomy experience:

Let’s just say I was so tense, when it was all done and the cutting and burning were through…I got off the recliener op table and looked at it…there was a clear outline of my ass and lower legs from profuse sweating!!!

Damn you…I hurt just from reading that!

For any considering a vasectomy…WARNING…this is an actual vasectomy.

This might have some more concise answers for you…

I’m in pain just reading this damn thread.

I’m with you on that.

Plus I just had to post to this thread considering my current avatar.

I’ll echo what Nate Dogg said. Adoption.

I had my vasectomy about 3 years ago. I am totally happy with it.

I think birth control pills are the worst thing a woman could possibly do to her body, and as such am willing to whatever I need to do to keep my wife from ingesting them.

Had a vasectomy about eight years ago. Best thing I ever did considering how my marriage went after that. The operation was no prob for me. Of course they had given me enough Xanax to where they probably could have castrated me and I wouldn’t have cared. Played golf two days later. Minor discomfort. But then again, I had a partner that had one and he needed a wheelbarrow to tote his balls around for about a month.

I would imagine the talk is to try and have a boy if so reversal may not be neccesary. Hate to say it but the needle may be easier and less invasive.

Given the state of your marriage, keep your vasectomy. More kids does not mean more domestic success, as you already know.
