Getting Ready for Morning Workout?

i mean i don’t go in at 6am slouching but sometimes i go in and it’s like i’m on a mission and i just explode every rep. It’s like i need someone to smack the shit out of me then i go lift.

Um if its early in morning a Spike drink usually does the trick for me.

I don’t. I read somewhere on T-Nation that it takes about three hours for the spine to de-fluidize and get limber enough to stand heavy loading (i.e. squats and deadlifts).

I mean, if there’s no other time you can do it, morning is cool, and I’d just down a quart of coffee (because a quart of coffee, while often overkill, is never insufficient), but it’s advised to wait until you get off work.

Is that the article you’re referring to?

200 mg caffeine

I don’t drink coffee because it will give me the shits and a blue is just no bueno on an empty stomach. I made me some homebrewed 400mg caffeine pills so that kicks my ass in to gear. On top of that, I listen to narly rave music. It helps specially when the morning crowd is in there listening to Frank Sinatra.

I do weights 3 hours after i wake up which means i get up at 5am eat and read/watch the news for 3 hours before i go in.

But with cardio i get up and go and if i have my shoes and clothes on the chair ready to go as soon as i see them im kinda pumped and ready to go. Music also helps

Hell yea dude, I’ve been listening to Scooter and a bunch of random DJs during workouts lately.

I down two or three double shots of espresso, turn up the pantera/down/slayer/etc., and get psyched the fuck up.

No. I think it was by Cressey, actually. I’ll see if I can find it.

EDIT: http://www.T-Nation.com/readArticle.do?id=1561783

Tony Gentilecore, actually, not Cressey. It’s point #1.

One thing I’ve been able to do is get permission from my boss to work from 6 until 7 in the morning, then hit the gym. Since I get up at 4:30, that gives me enough time to get moving before hand.

Artem check out Yoji Biomehanika. He will kick your ass with his narly beats! When my alarm goes off I’m still kinda sleepy but i grab my Ipod and press play and baaim! ready for action.

"Instead, wait about 45-60 minutes AFTER waking up to perform such movements. "
