Getting Faster Through Weightlifting?

Might be dumb question but what I??m wondering is if you can get faster through fast lifting.

For example doing quick explosive speed squatting, and running through a circuit using the same method of lifting. I??ve got some good strength gains over the summer and now need to get faster and was wondering if there are any other ways to do it besides just sprints.

Olympic lifting.

The best way to get faster is to get stronger.

See what Joe DeFranco has to say about it:

Of course lifting faster will get you faster. Do the power variations of olympic lifts and balistic versions of regular lifts. However, maintain your strength to maximize your speed gains.

Sprinting is a skill and needs to be practiced.

All that ‘train fast to be fast’ stuff is way overrated, IMO.
