Yeah. When others start commenting on your routines and seem freaked out, that’s how you know you are deviating away from normalcy (where your critics are sitting and watching from).
Question for CT or others on Get Jacked…wrapping up Week 5. Down 5 lbs 248-242. Havent done other measuremnets but strenghth is probably up and have been getting comments that I look bigger and sternth is actually up (405 BP x 2 on set 6 of BP). This is with about 75% adhereence to diet due to travel, weekends at beach, and chasing tail (dinner, drinks, etc.) haha. So im pretty happy. Problem is I tweaked my back pulling 605 for last set of deads week 4. Chiro says he can get me back to 100% in few weeks but prob a good idea to lay off squats, deadlifts, etc. Lest I end up laying on the gym floor for 20 mins again! CT or anyone…how can I arrange my split now w/o the lower body stuff?

jstines i dont see much of an improvement at all.
I have to confess my diet was less than perfect during the 12 weeks, but the pictures really don’t do the program justice. I gained strength and hit PR’s for reps and singles on DL, Bench and squats as well as just about everything else on the program. My body fat dropped from the high end to the lower end of that “no-man’s land” Thib talks about where it’s difficult to tell. In reality, My body is MUCH leaner and harder than when I started.
As a bonus, after 3 weeks of being off the program, I have gained 5lbs. while leaning out even more. In short, had I paid $200+ for the program, I would still be very pleased with the results. Also, better adherence to the diet would have definitely helped, but that’s the toughest part for me. 1 cheat meal easily becomes a “cheat day” and we all know how that hurts.
x2. Your core definitely looks improved. Bring up your pecs and you will look even better!
Thanks. That’s where I noticed a big difference. My chest has always been a weak point. While I can pull 410 and squat 350, my bench is a measly 250 (on a good day). I’ve been doing more metabolic type training the last 3 weeks and I’m thinking I’ll be in a good spot to start adding some mass by the end of the summer. Right now, I’m continuing to lean out and work on my conditioning for all the summer activities I like to do like wakeboarding, whitewater rafting, hiking, etc.
Not gonna post pics, because I don’t have pre-pics to compare.
The program did its job admirably, with me dropping a good 13-15 lbs of fat, when all was said and done. Unlike jstines, I actually held to the diet pretty strictly, and ended up being leaner… though I also started out leaner.
After week 11 of Get Jacked Fast, I switched to Wendler’s 5-3-1. I lift 4x a week, and have so far been doing HIIT x3, though the fatigue is catching up to me and I’ll probably switch to steady state 3-4x a week and HIIT 1-2 x a week. During this time, I have been eating carbs like there’s no tomorrow - 95% of them from fruit - and have not gained weight. I think that in late July, I’ll start eating carbs only around workouts, and get down to about 8% BF easily this way. What I’m trying to say is; really, you can lose weight by just lifting heavy and eating smart.
Get Jacked Fast works. It really does. I’d say, if you’re pretty fat - like me, who was about 20% - and restricted on time, go for it. If you’re closer to 10% - like I am now - just lift heavy, do HIIT/metabolic workouts once or twice a week, and walk often. That’s it. And if you’re like me and need your carbs, then brace yourself, haha :).
I think that the hardest part of the program, to me, was restricting carbs heavily. That just drove me NUTS. Otherwise… I’ll say it again; good program, fast fat loss.

Thought I should give an update on how the program worked for me.
I followed this program for 8 weeks and had some pretty spectacular results.
Week 1 Weight: 225 (i’m 5’11), Bench- 261, Front Squat- 217
Week 8 Weight: 207 (-18 lbs), bench- 315 (+54), Front Squat-285 (+68)
Note: I did not follow the diet and supplement guidelines to a T… I used more of a carb cycling approach. Also, I had knee surgery in February + a sprained back just prior to that which is part of the reason why I had such good strength increases.

Great job, dude! Congrats on those huge strength gains. How strong were you pre-surgery? i.e. are your new maxes your all-time maxes, or were you catching up?

what if i dont use supplements?
will this have a gr8 effect on the program?.
thx
Judging by the way you spell things (plz, gr8, thx), you can’t be older than 16, which begs the question: why the hell are you evening thinking about doing a fat-loss program? Furthermore, you shouldn’t be taking any supplements at your age; your nutrition should come from real food sources. Finally, Get Jacked Fast is an extremely intense program. From what I’ve seen on this forum recently (and from personal experience), you’ll ADD and will quit within the first month.
Find yourself a beginner program (search the Beginner section), lift heavy, and eat right. Come back in 2 years if you’re still having fat problems (which you won’t if you lift heavy and eat right).
hahahahahaha, no man am 21,
mayb cuz am not american or european u say so, cuz m arabian, so pardon my english.
can u now say how essential the supplements is?
and no thx and no plz nd no gr8
I just started this program last week. I am an old power lifter who has a bum shoulder and I am unable to go heavy at the moment. I was looking for something stump simple so I wouldn’t have to design one myself and get me back on track quickly and help me lose some fat at the same time.
This looks pretty easy to follow and gives me something totally different than how I have been training, so what the hell. I will change up some of the movements while keeping true to the design. Nothing overly shocking like changing hammer curls for preacher curls things like that. I will not be buying all the supplements as outlined however. Just a good multi-vitamin, protein powder for PWO, Fish oils, and Glucosamine for my old joints. I’m at work now but I will take some measurements and stats and what not tonight if anyone is interested.
