Can anyone that’s purchased this let me know how many workout days are expected for this? I’m extremely interested, however i can only commit to 3 (in the gym) days per week. It’s like a carrot dangling in front of my face. i just don;t know if i can commit to it given other life responsibilities (work, wife, kids, etc)

Thanks

Most weeks, you’re looking at 5 training sessions. There are a couple weeks where 2-a-day sessions are part of the program and you actually hit the gym 8 times in 6 days. In fact, there’s only 1 week in the entire 12-week program that requires only 3 training sessions, and that’s in week 11.

I would say, if you cannot commit to more than 3 training sessions a week, this program is not for you and would not produce optimal results.[/quote]

Thanks. Much appreciated

Hey Guys!

Im just about to start this program but i have one question. I play football (soccer) once a week on a thursday and i really really dont wana stop playing, its the one thing i love!! So i was wondering how i can impliment football into this program. Should i take any suppliments before and after to avoid muscle loss?

Thanks!!

Dav

how you guy’s in the latter stages of the program doing? i just finished the second session and jesus titty fucking christ do those stutter rep’s kick your arse.

I’m on week 12 and am very happy with my results so far. The stutter reps are brutal, but are nothing compared to how run-down you’ll be at the end of week 10. The volume of work over weeks 9-10 is something I’ve never experienced before (especially coupled with the decided lack of carbs), but the results are well worth it.

So you guys will post progress pictures, right?

Before/Afters, taken before the start of the program and AFTER the completing the program.

Right? I would love to see a set.

I will post up a before/after sometime next week. My schedule is a little crazy right now, but I’m very pleased with my results and would like to share them.

Sweet! Can’t wait to see it. Thanks, man.

I’d definitely like to see some progress pics too. this seems pretty interesting.

Sounds like CT has a winning program on his hands.

Everyone has said how easy it is to follow.

I think CT said this is NOT for beginners but more for advanced trainees. Am I right?

I think it’s fine for anyone, really. I mean, beginners could definitely get results with a looser diet and simpler techniques, etc., but it’s not like it would be ineffective. I would say this is a solid program for those in the intermediate and up category.

Here’s my “before” pic. It’s from mid-November, but I was the exact same weight and measurements from this photo until the time I started.

Starting weight: 191.5lb

Here’s me after @ 175.0lbs.

Sorry for the crappy pics, but my camera is all screwed up and the cell phone shots are the best I can do right now.

I still have a ways to go, but I am very happy with my progress. I wish the pictures were a little better. I don’t think they reflect the full extent of the changes the program made in my physique. Probably would have helped if I took measurements…

I’m in week 4 right now and so far, down 10lbs and just the other day, I blew past my personal best bench for reps. When I mean blew past, I blew past it by 20lbs!

Very happy with this program!

I think I’d have better results, as I’ve had to relax my lower body workouts due to screwing up my knee just as I started this.

Like everyone else, my gut measurement HAS gone down, but I’m looking forward to seeing some abs sometime soon (probably will start to show during the next phase I introduce the fat burner).

Question for Week 5+
The program indicates the addition of carbs pre/post work out. I’m not seeing this in the diet anywhere, nor in the supps section. Granted there’s the fruit post-workout, but is there something I’m missing on this? What did everyone else do for this?

It’s pretty clearly stated in the manuel…
Post-workout (only after weight sessions) Protein powder 2 scoops
SURGE RECOVERY* 2 scoops
Fruit â?? 1 portion
Glutamine 20g

Yeah, I think I caught that.

That’s been in the book for weeks 3-4 as well, but in his intro to weeks 5+ he talks about the addition of carbs pre/post workout. So I wanted to confirm it was just the fruit and Surge recovery and that I wasn’t supposed to add any of the actual carbs.

Thought I should give an update on how the program worked for me.

I followed this program for 8 weeks and had some pretty spectacular results.
Week 1 Weight: 225 (i’m 5’11), Bench- 261, Front Squat- 217
Week 8 Weight: 207 (-18 lbs), bench- 315 (+54), Front Squat-285 (+68)

Note: I did not follow the diet and supplement guidelines to a T… I used more of a carb cycling approach. Also, I had knee surgery in February + a sprained back just prior to that which is part of the reason why I had such good strength increases.

Wow, so by the looks of it, it seems people are still making quite significant strength gains while on GJF. I was thinking about holding off because my main focus is strength/muscle gains, but I may reconsider. Losing fat + gaining lots of strength is a GOOD thing!

jstines i dont see much of an improvement at all.

I was going to take some before/after shots, but I never did - I just ran out of time in the day.

I’m on week 4 and my progress has been pretty stellar so far (at least according to me and my goals).

My starting weight was 185lbs @ 5’6" and 40yrs old
Today I’m at 175/174lbs (scale just tips)

My strength gains have been through the roof.

As an example, coming into this, I would raw deadlift around 200lbs (yeah not much by some standards but whatever)

Today I raw deadlifted, for reps, 275lbs

My bench has blown past a sticking point I’ve had for YEARS by 20lbs on the bar (and that’s for reps)

I’ve always been week in the chin-up/pull-up department. The other day after doing heavy, heavy rows, I felt good and wanted a bit more, so I did some pull-up’s on the lat pulldown at 200lbs. This blew me away, so I thought I’d actually try some chins before I leave the gym for the night and low and behold I banged out a dozen chin-up’s.

The main gym I do my workouts at is at work and it’s really limited on equipment, so I end up making due with what I can. Intead of doing preacher curls, I’ve been doing cable curls. I’ve seen an increase in my weight by 30lbs on this one.

I really wish I had taken body measurements, for the transformation has been huge for me. My traps and shoulders have literally popped, my arms are bigger and defined (I do have a measurement on my arms, so I should check this tonight and update this actually) and my waist is down a good inch (my dress pants that I wear to work are just about to the point of needing to be taken in).

I can’t wait till next week with the additional of the fat burner. Providing I can “handle it”, I’m hoping it strips the abdominal fat off a bit more.

I’ve been following the diet to the letter. My wife says I’m obsessed with measuring out food, dicing and chopping till all hours of the night, recording everything I do in my log, etc. That’s a sign I’m on the right track if you ask me! LOL!
