I loled.

The Crazies had awesome cinematography. Please tell me someone else caught that.

Loved that movie, especially Craig Robinson and Rob Corddry.

The only issue i had with the movie was that there was no real penalty for Lou going back and time and living his life over again. So really all of the main characters could live their lives over again, and do exactly what Lou did without being twice as old in the present.

Any body play this yet.

Got it in the mail yesterday. Drew played on it for about 3 hours last night. He gives it a thumbs up, but says it’s kind of scary for a 10 year old.

Cool, I have had no time to play, Maya has a fucking honey do list as long as Ron Jeremy’s dick. You on game fly? How did you get in the mail.

I cant get to G4 at work fire wall. I had seen this awhile back, FPS where you have the ability to transport time. Hard to explain.

Sounded like a cool concept, but you know how it is, I really like to get people’s input. I also like to see actual game footage and not just the trailers for games.

games with a central gimmick like that usually fall short of people’s expectations. (See: TimeShift, DarkSector). The time warping parts are probably really cool, but you’ll most likely find yourself running through a lot of very familiar hallways shooting very familiar enemies with the same meh guns.

I know, but I will still probably buy it. Cant wait till winter for the new games.

Y’all could be playing Transformers: War for Cybertron.

This is a funtastic game. This game is written so well Hasbro has made it official canon in the TF universe. You get to play out the story of why the Transformers left Cybertron and came to Earth. Think the 80s cartoon, this has nothing to do with the Micheal Bay films.

Campaign and Co-op
There are 5 missions for the Decepticon campaign and 5 missions for the Autobot campaign. Chronologically the Decepticon campaign comes first but you can choose to start with either faction. The campaign mode plays as a 3-man squad, 3rd person shooter. There is no cover system a la Gears of War, even though you may see the AI controlled squad mates jumping out of cover. That threw me for a loop at first until I realized I’m playing a fucking Transformer. Who wants to crouch behind a wall when you can turn into a tank? Which brings up the 4 vehicle classes: Tank, Truck, Car, and Jet. Vehicle modes each have their own special ability and weapons.
Tanks - Big Ass Canon / 180 degree snap
Truck - Rockets / Ram (ie. vehicular robot slaughter)
Cars - machine gun / a crazy ass high speed barrel roll. its nuts but fun
Jets - Infinite Ammo - Machine guns & Rockets

In the campaign jets are limited to their own level. Each vehicle class has 3 character classes: Leader, Soldier, Scientist. Each class brings two special abilities, and these abilities can really change out the way you play out a battle. For example the Scientist can spawn a sentry gun, basically setting up a crossfire wherever I want. The scout can cloak invisible and stealth kill.

You begin each mission by choosing the character you want to play, which also determines vehicle mode and character class. Soundwave is a scientist/truck. Bumblebee is a scout/car. In Co-Op each player will fill the roll of one of the available characters. Most missions are more fun and easier in Co-Op mode with the exception of some boss battles because some twat won’t get out of the way of an incoming missile barrage. Each character starts off with their own gun. A second gun can be picked up during the mission and you can swap out your original gun for something else as well. This game as all the usual gun types:
Assault rifle
Mid-Range Snipe
Long-Range Snipe
Grenade Launcher
Missile Launcher
Big-Ass Walking Death Turret Guns
And a ton of different grenade types from Heat-seeking Mines to Healing grenades.

Horde / Firefight
Basically a 4-man squad faces off against increasingly difficult waves of on coming enemies. Each match will alternate between Autobots and Decepticons as you gun down familiar enemies from the campaign. Each kill earns you points that can be spent on health, ammunition, weapons, or opening doors to hidden areas of the map. The doors also hide improved weapons grenades etc… Like any similar game mode team work is key, but character/class selection is also very important. Those unique special abilities will go along way to rounding out a team.

Multi-Player
First off Multi-Player Modes

  1. Deathmatch - team and solo
  2. King of the Hill
  3. Capture and Hold Territory
  4. Blow up the other team’s base
  5. There are a couple more that I can’t think of.

Every match is Autobots vs Decepticons. There are tons of ways to earn XP by killing and being killed oddly enough. XP allows you to buy and upgrade special abilities. There are many many special abilities in this mode that can make you a murdering badass or equally piss off you opponents enough that they throw their controllers thru the TV screen. Not only can you select two weapons before the match you can take other folk’s weapons during the match. Plus the Maps are HUGE, but since you a TF their easy to cross at high speed.

I had a blast playing this game for the week I was home. I went thru the campaign twice. Racked up some major kills in Multiplayer, and slaughtered hundreds on enemies in the Hored/Firefight mode.

The Penny-Arcade guys were talking about this one. They gave the demo a tentative thumbs up. Thy usually take their games pretty seriously.

There are a couple of arcade hits coming out pretty soon, and i don’t usually dig the whole arcade thing, but this game looks fantastic.

Limbo looks like an interesting game…

Baby Maker Extreme is all sorts of fun, hah

Has anyone played Patapon 3 Demo on the PSP yet??
