Re: Assassin’s Creed 2
What’s the consensus on the necessity of having played AC 1?
How connected are the story lines? Is AC2 good enough to stand on its own without any prior gameplay with AC1?
My bro wants to buy AC, but I’ve told him that AC2 is supposedly much better. He doesn’t know if he should play the first before buying AC2.
Thoughts?
I say start at the begining, AC 1 is not that long if you just do the missions and how much would it cost by this point 15-19 bucks. Worth it, makes AC 2 much better when you play it.
I thought they were all tied together with that whole computer thing and the past. Haven’t gotten around to part two yet but I should probably get my ass in gear with brotherhood coming out.
They are tied together…but the advancements in the design and story line (even the character development) make the first one seem like a test run of a concept. The second game in the series basically rewrote the premise anyway and created a cool character that is relatable…something missing from teh first one.
I personally don’t think you even need to buy or pay attention to the first one aside from simply seeing how the concept started.
The second game is on another level.
If Brotherhood is that much of a leap forward in comparison, then I will have a new favorite game in November.

Interesting, I’ll have to see if they have any copies here next week when I get paid.

Yep, looks amazing, but you know the rule with first gen hardware:
Wait for the “beta testers” ![]()
If all is good, I’ll pick one up. I’ve been wanting a new toy and this looks perfect.

I was initially interested to get this, maybe even for my girlfriend but then I saw the rumoured prices - I know nothing is official but Expansys here (http://www.expansys.com/d.aspx?i=201135 ) has it on pre-order for £679! That’s £250 more than an entry level iPad.
If they seriously want to compete, there is no way they will do well at those prices. I won’t pay that anyway.

There’s no way in hell anyone is going to lug that VCR around as a phone.

LOL. In 20 years when they are making fun of this decade, don’t you guys cry to me when shit like this is filling up the script of “That 10’s Show”.

Haha.
I wouldn’t use that as a phone anyway; it’s this niche market that has been created since the spawning of this iPad. It’s not something that can full replace a laptop or be mobile enough to use in place of a phone. But it can have it’s uses.
Hey guys!!! Duke Nukem Forever actually has a release date now! It was announced at PAX!

You’re kidding? I know another studio bought the project, but I was expecting it to probably take a while till release again.
Bamp.
God, it’s been in development hell for as long as I can remember.

haha i found this out today too, i’m so pumped. hopefully it’s as crass and offensive as the first one.
Hello, I’m late to the party but I have a Q for you guys: I’m playing Borderlands, and have gotten to level 30 with Mordecai… the game started out interesting but now that I’m starting to max out my skill trees the opposition is dropping like flies!
Has anyone played Borderlands all the way through and feel like voicing an opinion whether the storyline is worth gunning through the rest of the game? It’s awfully repetitive at this point. lol
So many games, so little time…

Did you choose your name from the Steven Erickson books of the Malazan series? And yes it gets very repititive I traded it in and didnt complete. I dont play on line and that would be the only reason to keep and play it.

you could always jump in with me and soulja. I’m playing a lvl 30 berserker and he’s a lvl 30 soldier.
…but i still don’t get the ending.

Yes…Duke Nukem 3D basically raised my T levels as a child by at least 500 points. Him and Dragon Ball Z probably induced my early voice change.
